Xiao Ming obtained the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame’s legacy and learned the Soul Clan had begun attacking the Ancient Races. After the Soul Clan captured Xiao Yan and other allies and seized the final Ancient Jade, Xiao Ming and the allied clans fought back, then entered the Soul Realm to attack Hun Tiandi’s forces.

• Xiao Ming confronted Hun Tiandi in the Demonic Flame Space, where the Purifying Demonic Saint defeated Hun Tiandi and destroyed himself and the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame, leaving Xiao Ming with the Saint’s legacy and the flame’s origin.
• Xiao Ming returned to the experts and later emerged from seclusion stronger, warning the Ancient Clans that the Soul Clan was preparing to attack and explaining the danger of its Death Realm Great Formation.
• Xiao Ming visited Xiao Xuan in the Heaven Tomb, learned how the Xiao Clan had lost its bloodline power, and heard Xiao Xuan warn him against exploiting the conflict between Hun Tiandi and Gu Yuan.
• Hun Tiandi attacked the Ancient Realm as the Soul Clan stole its Ancient Jade, and Xiao Ming arrived after Gu Yang revealed that Nihility Devouring Flame had fused his soul with him.

Xiao Ming defeated Hun Tiandi, became a Dou Di, and left the Dou Qi Continent for the Tian Xuan Continent. There he took Ying Huanhuan and Qing Tan as disciples, seized the Devouring Ancestral Symbol, captured two Otherworldly Demon kings, and turned his attention to Yuan Sect.

• Xiao Ming killed Hun Tiandi, rescued the souls of Gu Yuan, Yan Jin, Lei Ying, and another clan leader, and reunited with the surviving clans.
• Xiao Ming refined Golden Pills in the Heaven Tomb, broke through to Dou Di, and claimed the title of Heavenly Emperor.
