History

Village-era academy

Shrek Academy originally operated from a small, weathered village near Suotuo City. The village had roughly a hundred households, a decaying wooden fence, an entrance arch, and simple wooden buildings arranged around an open training ground. Its impoverished appearance led many prospective students and parents to doubt that it was a legitimate academy. 52 54

Despite its exterior, the academy maintained unusually strict admissions standards. Applicants had to be younger than thirteen and possess at least Level 21 Soul Power; those who failed either requirement were rejected. 53

Flender actively pursued exceptional applicants such as Ye Feng and Ning Rongrong. Ye Feng agreed to enroll on the condition that Shrek's teachers become honorary elders of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, while the sect would provide the academy with annual resources. 54 55 61

Alliance with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

Flender, Zhao Wuji, Shao Xin, Li Yusong, and Lu Qibin formally became honorary elders of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. In exchange, the sect supplied Shrek Academy with substantial yearly resources while allowing its teachers to retain their positions at the academy. 102
