Background / History

Tang San entered Shrek Academy alongside Xiao Wu and quickly established himself as a gifted young control-type Soul Master. At Level 29, he faced the Level 37 Dai Mubai without backing down, using Blue Silver Grass, tactical restraint, and composure against the White Tiger Martial Soul 43 44.

He became friends with Ye Feng, who offered him half of the Dragon Whisker Needles extracted from a Plank Crystal. Tang San accepted after initial reluctance and taught Ye Feng basic hidden-weapon control, though he withheld the deeper Hundred Forms of Hidden Weapons techniques 50 51. Ye Feng's Level 56 cultivation then drove Tang San to train even more intensely 51.

During the Star Dou Great Forest expedition, Tang San defeated Meng Yiran to secure Oscar's claim to the Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent. Immediately afterward, he revealed his own Level 30 breakthrough and remained in the forest to obtain a Third Spirit Ring 89 90 91. He later absorbed a Ghost Face Demon Spider ring 97.

Tang San's father, Tang Hao, privately asked Flender to protect him. His teacher Yu Xiaogang later arrived at Shrek Academy, where Tang San greeted him with visible joy 62 102. Tang Hao subsequently trained Tang San in the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer technique and emphasized building a stable foundation after Tang San reached Level 50 250.

Ye Feng eventually deduced Tang San's Twin Martial Souls and urged him to learn the truth behind his abnormal Blue Silver Grass from his mother’s lineage 189. After two years of hammer training, Tang Hao took him to meet the Blue Silver King, triggering Blue Silver Grass’s evolution into the Blue Silver Emperor 257.

Appearance

Following the evolution of his Martial Soul, Tang San changes from an ordinary-looking youth into a handsome, elegant young man 257.

  • Fair skin.
  • Bright dark-blue eyes resembling his mother’s.
  • Long, beautiful blue hair.
  • A resilient, jade-carved appearance 257.
  • When using Mysterious Jade Hand, his hands become white as jade and can withstand wolf claws without injury 207.

Personality

Tang San is diligent to the point of prioritizing cultivation over leisure. Seeing Ye Feng’s extraordinary advancement convinces him that he must work harder, and he responds by immediately returning to cultivation 47 51.

He is calm and respectful in battle, openly acknowledging stronger opponents while refusing to surrender initiative. He volunteers to duel Meng Yiran for Oscar’s future Soul Ring, seeks sparring pressure from Ye Feng to break through, and insists on participating in important team matches despite personal risk 88 89 141 217.

His devotion can become obsessive. After learning that Blue Silver Grass may not be ordinary, he repeatedly studies and senses his Martial Soul in hopes of forcing its evolution 189 193. He later expresses insecurity over whether a control-type Soul Master with Blue Silver Grass is falling behind his peers 188.
