The Great Deceiver

At 10 AM the next morning, Wei Zitong arrived at the academy entrance on time. Jace had already been waiting there for a while.

Jace drove a commercial vehicle today, not the small sedan from yesterday. In fact, after Du Qiangwei's commotion, the small sedan was no longer drivable. It was unclear if Du Qiangwei had paid Jace for the car.

The two men exchanged wry smiles, understanding each other perfectly.

After getting into the car, Jace tossed Wei Zitong a black suit and a pair of sunglasses, saying, "Maintain formation!"

"Huh?" Wei Zitong replied with some exasperation. He jumped into the back to change into the black suit and put on the sunglasses, then checked himself in the rearview mirror. "Not bad, I actually look quite handsome!"

"Get lost!" Wei Zitong retorted, climbing back into the passenger seat.

After Wei Zitong fastened his seatbelt, Jace said, "Qiangwei went to recruit the female trainees."

Of course, he was speaking from the perspective of the original owner of his body. As for himself, he had seen beauties, but never touched them.

As he finished chanting, black streams of light flashed across his body. The crumpled suit immediately became perfectly smooth, as if it had been ironed.

"Tsk, your ability is really useful!" Jace exclaimed in surprise upon seeing this.

Ge Xiaolun felt a bit nervous. He felt that both people in front of him were familiar. Of course, one of them had brought him out of the police station, he remembered that. He also had some impression of the other person, who had a more relaxed posture, but because he was wearing sunglasses, he couldn't quite recall.

He then kept looking past the two of them, as if searching for something.

"How dare you!" Ge Xiaolun slammed the table and, before Jace could react, said decisively, "Okay, I've made up my mind. I'll go!"

Jace silently gave Wei Zitong a thumbs-up.

On the plane to the port area, the two men, finally having some free time, leaned back lazily in their seats. Jace took a sip of water to moisten his throat and said, "You really are something!"

"Nothing special, just understanding the psychological state of the person involved makes it easy to fool them," Wei Zitong said. "He kept looking around when he came in, for what? Wasn't it to see Qiangwei? Since Qiangwei wasn't there, anything you said to him would be discounted. So, Qiangwei, that prop, is very important..."

After an unknown amount of time, when there was no more movement from behind them, Wei Zitong cautiously pretended to casually turn his head and glance at the seats behind him with his peripheral vision. Seeing that no one was there anymore, he nudged Jace's arm and whispered with his lips, "She's gone, gone."

The tension in their hearts immediately eased. They realized their backs were already soaked with cold sweat. They didn't care anymore and both slumped onto their seats, feeling as if they had gone through a battle.
