Prajna Sutra, the Mahayana Buddha Emerges, Buddhist Sects Across the World Are Shocked New book, please collect
"I shall impart to you Mahayana Buddhism."
The words rang out, shocking the world.
Everyone had assumed Lu Changsheng had misspoken, but to their surprise, Lu Changsheng truly understood Mahayana Buddhism.
"This humble monk begs the wise one to bestow Mahayana Buddhism upon me."
Xuan Xin knelt upon the ground, incomparably devout.
Lu Changsheng said nothing. He merely gazed quietly toward the west, no one knowing what he was thinking.
But after a while—
Lu Changsheng's voice rang out once more.
"Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, when practicing the profound Prajnaparamita."
"Perceives that the five aggregates are all empty, thereby crossing beyond all suffering and affliction, Sariputra."
"Form is not different from emptiness, and emptiness is not different from form. Form is emptiness, and emptiness is form. So too are sensation, perception, formation, and consciousness."
"Sariputra, all dharmas bear the mark of emptiness: neither born nor extinguished, neither tainted nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing. Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, no sensation, perception, formation, or consciousness."
"No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind; no form, sound, scent, taste, touch, or dharmas; no realm of sight, up to and including no realm of consciousness; no ignorance, nor the ending of ignorance; up to and including no old age and death, nor the ending of old age and death."
Lu Changsheng's voice echoed.
He was quite fortunate. In his previous life, because he had enjoyed reading webnovels, whenever he encountered things of profound mystery, he would look them up. Coupled with his good memory, as long as he thought carefully, he could recall almost everything he had read.
This was the Prajna Sutra, the supreme heart scripture of Mahayana Buddhism, brimming with boundless mysteries.
And just as Lu Changsheng finished speaking—
Golden radiance drowned out everything.
Layer upon layer of Buddhist light appeared behind Lu Changsheng's head—eighteen layers in all.
An even more terrifying phenomenon emerged.
Behind Lu Changsheng, phantom figures of Ancient Buddhas appeared one after another, holding Dharma Wheels, Clean Vases, vajras, and the sun and moon. Like ten thousand Buddhas paying homage to their progenitor, they appeared behind Lu Changsheng.
Golden Buddhist light flooded ten thousand miles, waves of Buddhist chants resounding and shaking the entire cultivation world.
Countless powerful figures sprang up in alarm, their faces filled with disbelief.
In the Western Desert—
Vast and boundless, ancient temples one after another erupted with immeasurable golden Buddhist light.
Phantom figures of Buddhas surfaced one after another, while Buddhist Magical Artifacts bloomed with radiant light.
The entire Western Desert shook.
Buddhist light engulfed all things.
An ancient temple stood in crumbling ruin, yet as Lu Changsheng's voice rang out—
The ancient temple burst forth with brilliant golden Buddhist light, followed by the appearance of a Bodhisattva's phantom.
The phantom appeared and began chanting along.
Within Little Thunderclap Temple—
Every Buddhist cultivator was completely dumbstruck. Those Buddhist cultivators who had just been cursing Lu Changsheng for his shameless boasting were utterly stunned at this moment.
The four great divine monks opened their eyes, and beneath their unruffled gazes lay incomparable shock.
At this moment, Abbot Puzhi's body trembled.
At last, he knelt down.
"This poor monk, Puzhi, pays respects to the Teacher of the Buddha's Disciple!"
As his voice rang out, thirty-three thousand, three hundred and thirty-three Novice Monks, along with every monk within Little Thunderclap Temple, all knelt toward the east.
Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz!
Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz!
Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz!
The entire Little Thunderclap Temple shook incessantly. The Ten Thousand Character Buddhist Seal formed, blanketing the whole Western Desert as Buddhist light shone upon the world.
This phenomenon was simply too terrifying.
Even more shocking was—
A Demon Subduing Pestle swept away the dust and soared into the sky.
This was Little Thunderclap Temple's peerless immortal artifact.
Vajra Demon Subduing Pestle.
At that moment, a Buddha's phantom emerged from the Demon Subduing Pestle, as though reflecting all the heavens, blooming with boundless Buddhist light.
This phantom could be seen from millions upon millions of li away.
"It's the Buddha! The Buddha!"
"The Buddha's phantom! The Buddha's phantom!"
"The Buddha has manifested! The Buddha has manifested!"
Across the entire Western Desert, countless mortals witnessed this scene. Not knowing what had happened, they instead mistook it for the Buddha revealing himself.
They immediately knelt on the ground and devoutly kowtowed.
Yet the phantom began to chant scripture.
"Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, when practicing the profound Prajnaparamita."
"He perceived that the five aggregates were all empty, thereby transcending every suffering and calamity, Sariputra."
"Form is no different from emptiness; emptiness is no different from form. Form itself is emptiness; emptiness itself is form. So too are feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness."
Chant after chant rang out.
The entire Western Desert was turned completely upside down.
Heaven's Secret Sect.
The sect master sat cross-legged atop a mountain peak.
Tears streamed down his aged face as he gazed toward the Great Luo Holy Land.
"Master, are you weeping because our Dao Sect has produced such an extraordinary genius?"
A disciple behind the sect master asked this.
"Bullshit! I regret it—I regret it! Why did I abandon that child back then? I calculated everything under heaven and only deduced that he was an unparalleled immortal cultivator. How could I have known that not only was he the Literary Saint of the world, but also the Teacher of the Buddha's Disciple in this age?!"
The Heaven's Secret Sect Master wept miserably, filled with endless regret.
"Teacher of the Buddha's Disciple in this age? Then wouldn't it be utter chaos for this senior brother to join our Dao Sect?"
The disciple was stunned, unable to believe it.
"Who says the Teacher of the Buddha's Disciple cannot cultivate the Dao? Being the Teacher of the Buddha's Disciple does not mean he belongs to the Buddhist sect. Besides, Changsheng has already entered our Dao Sect, so he is our Dao Child—the Dao Child of the world. And what of the Buddha's Disciple? If this master's guess is correct, do you know what identity he possesses?"
"What identity?"
"The child of all living beings, the child of the Great Dao—a being who gathers everything in this world upon himself, a being beyond all common sense. He is the variable of the world."
"Pass down my order: no matter what, do not calculate anything concerning Lu Changsheng, and under no circumstances become his enemy. Whoever becomes his enemy shall be expelled from the sect, with no leniency!"
The Heaven's Secret Sect Master spoke with utmost seriousness.
North Pole Mountains.
Within an abyss a million li deep.
A furious roar rang out.
"Why?! Why?! Why?! With a person like this existing in the present age, the Dao and Buddhism have flourished for a hundred thousand years—why has it still not been my sacred clan's turn to flourish? The Heavenly Dao is unjust! The Great Dao is unjust!"
Eastern Land.
Upon Kunlun Mountain.
An old Daoist opened his eyes. He performed a divination, then could not help but burst into laughter.
"He has emerged! He has emerged! The person I have waited bitterly for a hundred thousand years has finally emerged!"
Southern Wilderness Hundred Thousand Great Mountains.
Demonic qi soared to the heavens here.
It flooded tens of thousands of li.
But as terrifying Buddhist chants and Dao chants spread forth, countless demons let out heart-rending screams.
One peerless great demon twisted its enormous body and roared in fury, "Why has another Child of the Heavenly Dao appeared at such a time? If so, then I shall defy the heavens! Pass down my order—accelerate the plan and hatch our clan's Demon Saint into the world as soon as possible."
At this moment, the world was thrown into turmoil.
Within the Great Luo Holy Land.
Lu Changsheng continued chanting scripture.
Like the truth of the Great Dao.
Like sacred words of Buddhism.
Like a blow to the head.
Like enlightenment pouring into one's mind.
Xuan Xin broke down in tears. Having attained Mahayana Buddhism, every confusion in his heart was completely resolved.
The butcher's knife in his heart completely vanished at that moment.
All manner of Buddhist light surged into Xuan Xin's body.
The ferocious Buddha grew benevolent as well.
Strands of black qi were expelled from his body, then vanished like smoke.
Every word of the Prajna Sutra transformed into a golden Buddhist seal and entered Xuan Xin's body.
At that moment, nine layers of Buddhist light appeared behind Xuan Xin's head.
He entered a state of great wisdom.
A complete awakening, a complete enlightenment.
But suddenly—
Lu Changsheng stopped chanting.
He stopped halfway through the Prajna Sutra.
He did not continue.
The reason was simple.
Everything that needed to be said had already been said.
When fate gathers, it scatters.
When fate falls away, it perishes.
What remained was for Xuan Xin himself to slowly contemplate and comprehend.
He had stopped.
But the changes in heaven and earth had not.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Beams of Buddhist light appeared around Lu Changsheng and Xuan Xin.
The anomaly rose once more.
