Chen Yu and his allies fought off the Goblin Legion’s Abyssal Spawn, but the Blood Legion’s attacks could not stop their overwhelming numbers. When a giant War Abyssal Spawn threatened Thorn Outpost, Chen Yu awakened Faldorn’s power and sent the mobile silver oak into battle, leaving the defenders ready to charge.

• Chen Yu ordered Beet to bombard the Abyssal Spawn with the Blood Legion, but their thick carapaces and huge numbers let them reach Thorn Outpost’s walls.
• Yano leapt into the battle and held off the Abyssal Spawn while Nili pursued Grumg, who escaped her attack by summoning more enemies.
• A War Abyssal Spawn appeared, forcing Nili to retreat as Chen Yu recalled the exhausted Blood Stinger Bees and the defenders’ position weakened.
• Chen Yu summoned Faldorn, whose lightning wounded the War Abyssal Spawn before it struck the silver oak with Acid Breath; Faldorn healed its damage.
• Chen Yu used Grass and Trees Become Soldiers on Faldorn, causing its roots and branches to sweep aside the Abyssal Spawn as he ordered the defenders to charge.

Chen Yu’s forces defeated the Goblin Legion and Abyssal Spawn, then salvaged the battlefield and processed its spoils. After Devour and Digest grew stronger, Chen Yu discovered he could swallow enormous objects to increase his health, and consuming Shadow Creature essence gave him Shadow Vision and Shadow Affinity.

• Faldorn, the Stoneborn assassins, and the Blood Legion broke the enemy advance, bringing down the War Abyssal Spawn and driving the remaining goblins and Abyssal Spawn back through the Planar Rift.
• Chen Yu’s forces collected corpses, Magic Organs, and alchemical seeds, while Yano recovered Grumg’s enchanted ring and Chen Yu gave it to him.
• After digesting the battle’s spoils for a day and night, Chen Yu advanced several abilities, began gestating a new talent, and discovered that swallowing a rock permanently increased his health.
• Yano gave Chen Yu bottles of pure Shadow Creature essence from Nili, and Chen Yu gained Shadow Vision and Shadow Affinity.

Hammer Bone learned that Aeath believed an elven power was behind the Slimes and planned to report the threat to Casaric while waiting for southern adventurers to serve the demons' ritual. Meanwhile, Yano set out with three stonefolk to explore Gore's depths, and Nili realized the Slime Kingdom might be able to build a lasting tunnel there.

• Hammer Bone fled back to Icefield Fortress after goblin survivors returned in a rout, then learned that Grumg had died in the Gloomy Lands.
• Aeath concluded that the Ancient Tree Council was backing the Slimes, ordered a report sent to Casaric, and decided to let the Slimes be while adventurers explored the castle.
• A stonefolk ancestor blessed Yano and three companions before they departed to seek the gargoyle nest and the legacy of Grand Duke Castor.
• Yano left Chen Yu behind with Nili and rode into Gore's depths with his companions, while Chen Yu urged him to retreat if danger became overwhelming.
• Nili explained that routes through Gore's depths shifted and were hard to maintain, then realized the Slime Kingdom might build a tunnel into them.

Chen Yu finalized a tunnel-exploration partnership with House of Belmont, checked on Anvil and Little Eileen, and planned the Slime royal city. Meanwhile, Bat Slime Number One infiltrated a village in the White Horse Kingdom as scattered reports placed the Slimes traveling with Arthur near Allen Bridge Fort.

• Chen Yu agreed that House of Belmont would fund a passage into Gor while the Slime Kingdom supplied Slime Engineers, and he planned to extend the kingdom’s influence into the Gloomy Lands.
• Chen Yu visited Anvil, learned that Little Eileen had no known parents and refused to leave the mining district, and encouraged Anvil by promising to recruit Dwarf blacksmiths.
• Anvil reported that he was extracting blackgold ore for the Goblin Ripper - Type II and promised to forge its core components within three days.
• Chen Yu inspected the Swamp and prepared to begin construction of a vast Slime royal city, while resolving to seek the Crown of Ignis and strengthen himself against demons.
• Bat Slime Number One hid in a grain carriage and reached Granville, Valley Town, while Slimes accompanying Arthur sent fragmented news that they had reached Allen Bridge Fort.

Arthur, Count Bran, and Calvin traveled to Allen Bridge Fort to find Belly Brooks and determine whether she still had the Crown of Ignis. After reaching her address in the impoverished lower district, they approached the basement where she lived.

• Arthur learned from Father Joseph that Belly Brooks lived at 14 Chestnut Lane and often worked for Madam Mary in the Waterside District.
• Arthur met Count Bran and Calvin in an alley, and the group discussed the possibility that Belly had lost the crown or that the Border Guard Legion had set an ambush.
• Arthur confirmed that he could not contact His Majesty Slime, while Little Fatty offered to help the group face danger.
• Arthur and Calvin crossed into the lower district, where Calvin paid a woman a silver coin for directions to Belly's basement.
• Arthur and Calvin followed the directions through the crowded tenement and reached a wooden door beneath the stairway.

Calvin and Arthur discovered that the woman posing as Belly Brooks was part of a trap set by the fallen Knights seeking the Crown of Ignis. With Chen Yu's help, they evaded their pursuers and escaped Allen Bridge Fort hidden in a freight wagon.

• Calvin suspected the exhausted woman who claimed to know him was not Belly, and he and Arthur tried to leave the building quietly.
• Little Fatty concealed Arthur and Calvin with Heat Haze Illusion, but a gang of dwarves and human mages stormed in and chased them through the district.
• Calvin concluded the attack was a trap arranged by demon-bewitched Knights who believed he knew where the Crown of Ignis was.
• Three Elite Professionals, including an old Knight from the Border Guard Legion, cornered Arthur and Calvin in an alley and demanded the crown.
• Chen Yu told them to escape their enemies' sight, and Arthur and Calvin fooled the old Knight before disappearing from the alley.
• Chen Yu hid Arthur and Calvin inside a cargo crate on a freight wagon, which carried them out of Allen Bridge Fort.

Arthur, Calvin, and Chen Yu met Grann Bely after he stopped their carriage, and Grann offered information about Bely and the Crown of Ignis. The chapter ended with Grann revealing a badge linking the missing girl to the Blade of Vengeance.

• Chen Yu recognized that someone approaching the convoy smelled of coffee and agreed to meet him for clues about Bely.
• Grann Bely introduced himself as an informant from the Snow Fox Family and recognized Chen Yu as a Slime from the Slime Kingdom.
• Calvin pressured Grann until he revealed that he knew where Bely was and that he served a royal Highness seeking to return the Crown of Ignis to the Church of the Sun.
• Grann explained that outsiders were pursuing the crown and placed a badge bearing crossed daggers on the table, identifying it as the emblem of the Blade of Vengeance.

Grann revealed that Bailey Brooks might be a core member of the Blade of Vengeance and asked Calvin and Arthur to help the prince cooperate with the group against corrupt nobles and a hidden demon. They agreed to travel to Storm Territory, but news of undead near Cracked Stone Fortress forced Chen Yu to return to the Swamp.

• Grann explained that Kelvin Ellis had rebuilt the Blade of Vengeance and that Bailey Brooks might be among its members.
• Grann asked Calvin to help contact Bailey and revealed the prince wanted the Undead Lord to hinder the great demon and sever its connection to Golden Radiance Valley.
• After consulting Chen Yu, Calvin agreed to cooperate and travel with Arthur and Grann to Storm Territory to find Bailey and seek news of the Crown of Ignis.
• Grann arranged horses, and the group left Allen Bridge Fort for Storm Territory.
• News arrived that undead creatures had appeared near Cracked Stone Fortress, so Chen Yu returned his consciousness to the Swamp to investigate.

Chen Yu learned that the Goblins and vampires had joined forces and that the Goblin Legion was driving undead toward Cracked Stone Fortress, likely to test the supposed elven force behind him. As Goblin scouts approached under cover of the horde, Chen Yu arranged defenses and decided to send three Mystic Ancient Tree Saplings to the fortress.

• A Metal Slime spotted undead spreading through the reed beds and rang the alarm, bringing Chen Yu to Cracked Stone Fortress to inspect the horde.
• Chen Yu contacted Nili, who explained that the vampires and Goblins had cooperated and that the demons behind the Goblins might be using the undead to test the Slime Kingdom.
• Nili offered the House of Belmont's help, then arrived at the fortress and began killing Goblin scouts sneaking among the undead.
• Chen Yu judged that the fortress could withstand the low-level undead and learned from Isolde that three oak Treants had become Mystic Ancient Tree Saplings.
• Chen Yu decided to send the three Mystic Ancient Tree Saplings to Cracked Stone Fortress to demonstrate the power of nature to the hidden demon.

Deng Lun provoked the undead tide to test Cracked Stone Fortress, where Chen Yu’s defenses and three War Trees repelled the attack. After devouring the battlefield’s bones and gaining enormous HP and undead talents, Chen Yu decided to lead an expedition against Eternal Night Territory.

• Deng Lun cast Fear Spell on goblin patrols, sending them fleeing into the undead and triggering an assault on the Slime fortress.
• Chen Yu activated the fortress’s composite Magic Array, whose light curtain destroyed or repelled the attacking skeletons.
• Three Treants emerged and fought with powerful spells, convincing Deng Lun they were War Trees; he and Hammer Bone then left the pass.
• After the goblins retreated, Chen Yu devoured the undead bones, raising his HP to 15,000 and gaining Vampire's Touch, Undead Affinity, and Fear Aura.
• When Nili told Chen Yu that the Gloomy Lands held vast numbers of undead, he declared an expedition against Eternal Night Territory.

Chen Yu assembled the Slime Kingdom’s forces for an expedition into The Gloomy Lands and ordered them to seize the Outpost Ruins as a bridgehead. The army reached the ruins that night, where a silver Slime appeared in the Wild Boar Tavern and stunned the mercenaries.

• Chen Yu mobilized nearly forty thousand Stinger Bees, ground forces, and three Mystic Ancient Trees for the expedition.
• Isolde consulted Little Flower about the campaign and decided to summon elves and prepare ten Oak Guardians to support the Slime Kingdom.
• Chen Yu appointed Little Flower to lead the command group and Beet to command the front line, then ordered the army toward the Outpost Ruins by Gray Mist Lake.
• The Slime Scholars planned to take the Outpost Ruins first to avoid an ambush at Cracked Stone Pass and establish a bridgehead into The Gloomy Lands.
• At the Wild Boar Tavern, Helam heard a drunk mercenary insult the Slimes as a strange hum and cries of alarm rose outside.
• A panicked adventurer tumbled into the tavern, and a silver Slime carrying a small shield and iron spear appeared on his back.

Chen Yu seized the Outpost Ruins camp, forced the captured guilds to join Silver Oak Leaf, and hired them to build a castle for the Slime Kingdom. As his forces advanced into The Gloomy Lands, Casimir learned of the Slimes’ victory and considered using it to trade for more Blood of Life.

• Chen Yu captured nearly everyone in the Outpost Ruins camp and ordered the guild leaders to gather before him.
• Chen Yu transformed into an enormous Black Dragon to silence protests, then made the guilds work for Silver Oak Leaf and promised payment and Magic Scrolls.
• Chen Yu flew to the advancing front and surveyed the difficult terrain and ruins of The Gloomy Lands.
• Casimir learned that the Slimes had captured the Outpost Ruins and wondered whether he could use the news to obtain more Blood of Life from the Undead Lord.

The vampires fortified the Gray Stone Barrier as the Slime Legion advanced, while Little Flower’s scholars considered how to breach it. In the Swamp, Anvil completed the Goblin Ripper’s Black Steel Main Bearing and assembled a towering Stone Giant, which Chen Yu prepared to test.

• The vampires recruited mercenaries and deployed defenses, but the Slime Legion quickly occupied Everly River Valley and reached the Rubble Wasteland.
• The vampires ordered their forces to retreat behind the Gray Stone Barrier, where Beet’s Stinger Bee Legion launched a probing attack that the mercenaries repelled.
• Beet’s legion withdrew after gathering intelligence, and Little Flower’s scholars decided to try tunneling beneath the barrier before resorting to the Goblin Ripper.
• Chen Yu returned to the Obsidian Mining Area as Anvil forged the final Black Steel Main Bearing for the Goblin Ripper - Type II.
• The little Earth Elementals combined into a black Stone Giant, and Anvil placed Little Eileen on its shoulder before Chen Yu went to watch its test.

Chen Yu and Anvil tested the Goblin Ripper - Type II, which fired a devastating beam but exploded because its assembled Earth Elemental parts could not withstand the force. Little Eileen enchanted the Giant with an unknown magic, giving Chen Yu hope that they could build stable Ripper artillery platforms.

• Chen Yu and Anvil watched the Earth Elementals fire the Goblin Ripper - Type II, whose beam vaporized trees and carved a trench through the clearing.
• The Earth Elemental Giant exploded from the firing impact, scattering its unharmed Earth Elementals across the clearing.
• Little Eileen offered to use magic, and Chen Yu persuaded Anvil to let her try.
• Little Eileen enchanted the Earth Elemental Giant, causing the Earth Elementals and black steel to fuse more firmly and control Mana absorption.
• Chen Yu considered building fixed Ripper artillery platforms to attack the vampires hiding behind Gray Stone Barrier.

Arthur, Calvin, and Grann discussed the kingdom’s offensive in The Gloomy Lands and the danger posed by Gray Stone Barrier before traveling to Baron Landon’s territory near Shield River City to seek help finding Bella. They arrived at a strangely quiet estate, where Count Bran flew ahead to scout as Grann also sensed something was wrong.

• A messenger pigeon told Grann that White Horse Kingdom’s forces had captured the Outpost Ruins camp, and Grann explained how the campaign could disrupt the demons’ contacts while warning that the army might face a coalition attack at Gray Stone Barrier.
• Calvin and Arthur set out with Grann toward Shield River City, intending to meet Baron Landon, a supposed ally who could help them enter the city and pursue a lead on Bella.
• Calvin consulted Chen Yu, who agreed they should meet Baron Landon cautiously and began considering a plan to send disguised Demonic Beasts into White Horse Kingdom to establish an intelligence network.
• Grann led the group to Baron Landon’s estate, where Arthur and Calvin noticed the quiet surroundings and Count Bran flew into the woods to investigate.
• Grann surveyed the unusually tranquil territory and privately sensed that the situation was not as he had expected.

Arthur, Calvin, and Grann were taken to Lid Valentinian, who accused Princess Louisa of treason and demanded her whereabouts and the stolen Sacred Object. Calvin rejected Lid’s offer of pardon and challenged him to kill him to learn where the Sacred Object was.

• Arthur detected ambushers on the road, and Border Guard Legion knights surrounded the group and ordered them to meet Captain Lid.
• Lid Valentinian revealed that Princess Louisa had been convicted of treason and asked Grann to disclose her whereabouts.
• Lid offered Arthur and Calvin a chance to clear their names if they helped recover the Church of the Sun’s Sacred Object.
• Calvin refused to cooperate, drew his sword, and challenged Lid to kill him for the Sacred Object’s location.
• Lid chuckled and leaned back as though he were watching a play.

Lede defeated Calvin in a single blow and ordered Arthur, Calvin, and Grann taken to Shield River City as suspects in Princess Louisa’s disappearance and the theft of the Sacred Object. Chen Yu and Count Bran set out to find the princess and rescue them, while the prisoners faced an angry crowd on the road.

• Calvin challenged Lede, was swiftly defeated, and said that surpassing a true extraordinary being might still be within reach.
• Lede arrested Arthur, Calvin, and Grann and ordered them escorted to Shield River City until Princess Louisa and the stolen Sacred Object were found.
• Grann revealed that Princess Louisa had established the secret society Iris and that one of its members lived in Shield River City’s Gardenia Street District.
• Calvin released Chen Yu from the prison cart, and Chen Yu met up with Count Bran and headed toward Shield River City to find Princess Louisa and rescue the prisoners.
• Civilians gathered along the road and hurled insults and refuse at the prison carts as Arthur, Calvin, and Grann were escorted toward the city.

Count Bran and Chen Yu found Belly in Shield River City and contacted Princess Louisa through an enchanted mirror. Louisa proposed that Slime Kingdom help the demonic tide breach Storm Fortress so her secret legion could rescue Grann, Arthur, and Calvin, leaving the civilians’ safety as a pressing concern.

• Chen Yu and Count Bran reached Shield River City, where knights were searching for a suspected witch and their lead to Princess Louisa had disappeared.
• Count Bran and Chen Yu chased Belly through the alleys and identified her as the person Arthur and Calvin had sent them to find.
• Belly questioned Count Bran’s identity and showed him an enchanted mirror that connected them to a witch and then Princess Louisa.
• Princess Louisa told them that Grann and the two knights could be rescued if Slime Kingdom helped the demonic tide breach Storm Fortress and draw Commander Lide away.
• Belly raised concerns about civilians, and Princess Louisa said she would need Belly and other organizations to help protect them.
