"Rare of you to come back today. I thought you wouldn't return for another three days."
Holding a clipboard, Kakashi stood beside a towering pile of supply crates. He turned toward the boy entering through the back door and spoke in an indifferent tone.
He's angry!
He's angry! Definitely angry!
Hearing Kakashi's flat yet intensely sarcastic tone, Chiba's mouth twitched slightly.
"The Fourth Hokage has approved your idea. This is the proposal I organized, along with the Defense Force's proposal that I asked Yukina to prepare. Take a look. Since we'll be coordinating with the Defense Force, there are some things you'll need to familiarize yourself with."
Chiba ignored his tone. After setting down two scrolls, he spoke to Kakashi.
"A proposal?"
At Chiba's words, Kakashi's gaze fell on the two scrolls he had placed down, and the indifference in his voice vanished.
Clearly, Kakashi knew Chiba was serious. He immediately became serious as well.
"Mm. Take a look first. Leave the supplies to me."
