Heh—!
What a...
Checkmate! The hand covering her left eye slowly lowered. As she casually flicked her sleeve, blood from her left hand sprayed across the black wall, as if it had been forged from metal and stone, leaving a semicircular stain. Then, amid a series of hissing sounds, several wisps of white steam rose from her left hand, as though something there had melted.
Yet Black-robed Chiba seemed not to care. She glanced sideways toward where Uchiha Nobuhiko stood, then, as if her gaze had crossed the dense forest canopy once more, fixed her eyes on the smiling young man.
Then her gaze swept past him and finally settled on the meteorite that had completely blocked her view.
"Whoosh!"
In an instant, a fierce wind erupted and swept toward her, snapping her robes taut. Then it seemed as though winds from every direction—east, west, south, and north—blew at once, whipping the black robe from side to side with a violent flap.
The immense pressure generated by the meteorite tearing through the air had already disrupted the surrounding atmosphere. Violent winds swept in almost instantly. With such an enormous object plunging down at an unimaginable speed, Konoha, directly beneath the meteorite, seemed as though even the wind had panicked, darting wildly in every direction. Yet the massive black wall blocked most of it, ultimately shielding the entire village. The raging wind only howled five or six meters above the rooftops, leaving the village itself largely unaffected.
Still, even if such fierce winds had swept through the village, scattering countless objects, Konoha—already steeped in despair—would probably have had no reaction. They were all going to be reduced to dust beneath the meteorite anyway. What meaning was there in worrying about houses or gales now?
They were all going to perish anyway.
