The night passed quickly. Kurumi was still feeling fairly energetic. She patted her still-flushed cheeks with both hands, then got up to eat.

She clumsily fried an egg and paired it with a glass of milk, calling it a meal. Fortunately, this body's stomach was easily satisfied.

She took quite a few clothes from the wardrobe and put them into her Spatial Backpack. Her intuition told her that a disaster would strike today... Well, she had actually guessed it. The Main God had given her the mission to "escape" yesterday, and according to her memories, the so-called violent incident at the school in the anime should have happened in the afternoon.

Since it had not happened yesterday, it had to be today. The Main God would never be kind enough to let her live comfortably and peacefully.

After changing into her school uniform, she picked up... stockings today. Of course, not the full-length kind—just ones that reached the boundary between her thighs and skirt, revealing a sliver of snowy-white skin. The black stockings slid over her legs, and their silky sensation made her want to stroke them a few more times. Kurumi forcibly suppressed the urge.

She walked up to the mirror and admired herself. As expected, Kurumi looks best in black stockings! Mo Xiao shouted excitedly in her heart. The lovely girl in the mirror seemed to have gained another hint of Charm, enough to stir criminal impulses in anyone who saw her.

Kurumi still went to the supermarket to buy a boxed lunch before taking a taxi to school. Only after paying did she realize that her wallet was nearly empty. She comforted herself inwardly—no matter, everything would fall apart this afternoon anyway. What use would money be then?

It was not as if she had never considered what she would do if nothing happened. But she believed she had figured out the Main God's impatient nature. Hopefully, the Main God would not disappoint her.

It was another morning of attracting attention, especially those beautiful legs in black stockings. Quite a few gentlemen had already snapped photos and uploaded them to the school forum, where people kept licking their screens. Phones were forbidden at school, yet the post below was rapidly filling with replies, reeking of perversion even through the screen.

But none of that had anything to do with Kurumi anymore. It was already noon. She found the rooftop, finished her lunch, and began observing her surroundings.

"This should be the rooftop where the three protagonists first came, right? I may as well wait for them here. Joining their group will be ridiculously easy that way!" She continued studying the terrain. Fujimi Academy was not very large, just a small area, and it was easy enough to memorize the routes.

Kurumi closed her eyes and recalled the escape route taken by the protagonist's group in the anime. Sure enough, sticking with Komuro Takashi at the start would save her the most effort!

Well, look what she had found. Komuro Takashi stood at the stairway corner with a brooding expression. He was probably just sulking over Miyamoto Rei, wasn't he?

Standing at the highest point of the rooftop, she gazed into the distance. The streets were still peaceful. People went about their business, completely unaware that in a few hours, this place would become a scene straight out of hell. Kurumi suddenly felt fortunate. Though she still had not escaped the Main God's grasp, she was far better off than the natives of these worlds!

It was as though they had been born solely for this world, solely for the few people at its center. Without "them," nothing would exist—not even their lives, which had all been arranged in advance. Wasn't that truly tragic? At least she was still struggling. At least she still could struggle!

She shook her little head, refusing to dwell on such messy thoughts any longer, and prepared to return to class. After all, she was a good student.

And that was exactly what happened. Less than a few minutes into class, Kurumi pretended to be sick. The teacher immediately granted her leave and allowed her to go to the infirmary. Under the concerned gazes of her classmates, she walked out of the classroom with a pale face...

"I think if I ever stop being a Reincarnator, maybe I can become an actress. With acting like this, I could at least win an Oscar, right?" Kurumi's thoughts drifted off again, but she had not forgotten what she needed to do. She jogged up to the rooftop.

Then, relying on her freakish coordination rating of 1.5, she instantly climbed to the highest point. Her posture was far from graceful, but who was there to notice? Everything was for the mission!

Sitting to one side, she looked down at the street. By now, car accidents had already occurred in quite a few places. It seemed the so-called "virus" had erupted. Next would be the school gate, right?

Turning her head toward the school entrance, her excellent eyesight allowed her to clearly see a middle-aged man in formalwear, his face grayish-white and his eyes rolled upward. Like a drunken bum, he staggered as he walked.

"So that's a Dead Body? It doesn't seem much different from a zombie. If this instance hasn't been heavily altered, it should count as one of the easiest instances, right? At least it's easier than Resident Evil. That place even had Tyrants. What does this one have?"

Thinking of the corpse-packed scenes from the Original Work, Kurumi frowned delicately. There were too many people in Japan, all crammed into a place barely the size of a palm. With her current strength, getting trapped in a horde of Dead Bodies could still get her killed.

After all, one bite turned you into one of them... She did not have the protagonist group's plot armor protecting her!

Komuro Takashi had already seen the riot at the school gate and hurried into the teaching building. Kurumi knew he was going to find his childhood friend. What a hopeless fool—he thought of her in every situation.

Rolling her eyes, Kurumi thought, what did that have to do with her? She took the Steel Katana from her Spatial Backpack and held it diagonally before her.

She was ready to enjoy the humanity of this world. Would it be more thrilling than the previous worlds that had fallen apart?

After watching for a while... she regretted it. This was clearly an ecchi anime, yet even ordinary girls got fanservice scenes when they were bitten. It was simply absurd. Though the blood and flesh were all real, Kurumi's expression did not change in the slightest.

Having gone through six reincarnation worlds, what disgusting things had she not seen? She even found it somewhat boring. Looking into the distance, she saw cars constantly colliding and exploding. No police came to investigate; the traffic system had long since descended into chaos.

Dead Bodies began appearing on the streets as well. She saw lovers shove the people they loved toward the Dead Bodies in order to survive. Friendship between friends capsized as easily as a little boat...

Some chose suicide. Some believed it was only a dream. Others unleashed the darkness buried deep in their hearts. Riots were everywhere.

Kurumi watched it all coldly. On this land, killing and being killed, betrayal and humiliation played out every moment. Though there were always a few flashes of humanity's brilliance, they seemed so insignificant.

She took a deep breath of the gunpowder-scented air and revealed a slightly unhinged smile. It was as if she had returned to those days in the Main God Space, full of schemes and deception. The calm blood in her body began to boil again. She liked this feeling of doing whatever she pleased, provided she took care of the Main God's insignificant missions.

She still needed the Main God to visit different planes. They could simply make use of each other. She had only one final wish: to go to the world of "Date A Live" and meet her Goddess. Though she wore her Goddess's body, she was not perverted enough to want to defile herself.

Kurumi also had an unsettling suspicion. From what she had observed of this body over the past two days... it might truly be the real Kurumi Tokisaki. But... what exactly had happened?

There was no response when she asked the Main God. All she could do was keep moving forward. She would learn the truth eventually. She summoned the drive she had possessed when first entering the Main God Space—though hopefully, things would not go as miserably as they had the first time.

The school broadcast suddenly came on. "A riot is currently taking place on campus. Students, please pay attention to your safety..." ..."Ah—don't come closer, don't come closer! Bzzzt—bzzzt—" Everyone froze.

Kurumi stood up and slashed the broadcast speaker off the wall with one stroke. She did not like that sound.

The students were still stunned. But the instant a piece of chalk fell and made a crisp sound, everyone snapped out of it! The crowd immediately descended into chaos. Komuro Takashi's group, who had originally planned to head downstairs, began making their way toward the rooftop.

Busujima Saeko went to the infirmary to find Shizuka Marikawa. Takagi Saya and Hirono Toda escaped from their classroom, while Miyamoto Rei had now encountered her first opponent.

"Crunch—" "Aah—"

That was the sound of Inoue Nagahiro's arm being bitten by a Dead Body. Kurumi had no intention of going down to help. He was only a disposable extra who was going to die anyway...
