Natsuki Subaru let out an exaggerated cry and pulled a cat teaser made from a catnip ball from his pocket.
The moment the cat teaser appeared, Puck's eyes followed the ball on the rod. His little nose twitched frantically as he circled Natsuki Subaru twice more.
"I was wondering why you smelled so nice. So it was this thing! Give it to me, give it to me!"
"Hehe." Natsuki Subaru grinned smugly and began teasing Puck with it. The cat-form spirit flew as though enchanted, his little nose twitching as he followed the path traced by the teaser.
Seeing this, Emilia could not help feeling worried. "Subaru, what's in that? It won't affect Puck's body, will it?"
"It's fine!" Natsuki Subaru casually tossed the teaser into the air. Puck immediately flew up and hugged it with his two little paws, pressing his little face affectionately against the rod as he cried, "Meow, meow, meow!"
"Catnip is a plant that cats like. It won't have any harmful effects on cats themselves."
Even with Natsuki Subaru's explanation, Emilia was still worried, her large eyes fixed on Puck as he hugged the cat teaser in the air.
"It's fine, Lia. Catnip really does make me feel good, but I won't get addicted to it. Kid, you've given me a nice present." As he spoke, Puck began meowing again.
