Background

Red Queen originated as the Central Intelligence Unit of a Beta-class exploration ship. Kurumi activated her from a metal box, gave her the name “Red Queen,” and chose the appearance of a little girl in red for her projection. Her first task was assessing Earth-199999’s civilization level, which she classified as a mutated Intermediate Alpha civilization. 279 280

Her original civilization had descended from a lineage that had once reached the Theta level. A civilizational gap left its technology tree uneven: artificial intelligence was highly developed, while most other fields remained at the Beta level despite some Gamma-level theories. Advanced civilizations later devoured the civilization to seize knowledge recovered from ruins, exterminating much of its intelligent life and monitoring its Central Intelligence Unit. 332
