Gu Ye entered the Extreme North Land to meet the Snow Empress and ask about the soul beasts’ previous attack on humans. After the Snow Empress arrived with the Ice Empress, she took Gu Ye into a cave to speak privately, leaving Shui Bing'er outside with the wary soul beasts.

• Gu Ye confronted Ice Bear King Little White and released his aura, drawing the Snow Empress and powerful soul beasts toward him.
• The Snow Empress arrived and asked Gu Ye why he had come; he gave his name and said he wanted to discuss the previous attack on humans.
• The Ice Empress arrived and grew angry when Gu Ye teased her by calling her a little scorpion and joking about stir-frying her.

Gu Ye proposed helping the Snow Empress survive her seven-hundred-thousand-year tribulation and finding a way to reconcile humans and soul beasts, then left her to consider his offer. After discovering a river of Ten-Thousand Year Ice Marrow, he collected some for Shui Bing'er, whose cultivation soon reached level sixty.

• Gu Ye told the Snow Empress about the coming tribulation, his plans to speak with soul beast leaders, and the danger soul beasts faced in a war with humans; he gave her a locator and said he would wait outside the Extreme North Land.
• The Snow Empress let Gu Ye leave with Shui Bing'er despite the Ice Empress trying to block them, then departed to think over his proposal.
• Gu Ye sensed dense ice-attribute energy beneath a glacier and took Shui Bing'er down to an underground river of Ten-Thousand Year Ice Marrow.

He brought Snow Empress to the Spirit Hall Empire's imperial capital, where she began experiencing human life.

• Gu Ye helped Shui Bing'er hunt a Profound Ice Phoenix Bird, and she gained a pair of ice-blue External Soul Bone wings.
• Shui Bing'er confessed her feelings for Gu Ye and kissed him, but he gently pushed her away and reminded her that he had other women.

Gu Ye brought the Snow Empress into the human world, taught her to cook, and took her to Heaven Dou City. Meanwhile, Xiao Wu and three companions began trials on Sea God Island, and the two Liu Erlongs advanced through the God of Destruction’s trials.

• Gu Ye told Bibi Dong that Zhu Zhuqing, Qian Renxue, and others had left to complete trials or train, then learned that Bibi Dong was nearing the end of her own trial.
• Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, Ye Lingling, and Jiang Zhu reached Sea God Island and received trials, with Ye Lingling obtaining Sea God’s Nine Trials.

Zhu Zhuyun drew Zhu Qingyun into an intimate encounter with Gu Ye, and the three ended the night together at the academy’s rear mountain.
