Bibi Dong was once Spirit Hall's holy maiden. During that period, she spent most of her time cultivating within Spirit Hall and had little experience of the outside world. Her affection for Yu Xiaogang led her to obtain restricted Spirit Hall manuals for him, contributing to the knowledge behind his reputation as a theoretical Grandmaster 232 233.

She later recalls leaving Yu Xiaogang to protect him, only for him to become involved with another woman. By their reunion, she regards her earlier devotion as naïveté and believes he exploited her feelings to acquire Spirit Hall's knowledge 233.

As Supreme Pontiff, she pursues continental unification and the Rakshasa divine inheritance. Her earlier ambitions also include destroying the Angel Clan. Gu Ye eventually prompts her to consider not only conquest, but how the continent should be governed afterward 291.
