Xiao Wu fought alongside Tang San and Zhu Zhuqing during their early confrontation with Zhao Wuji, charging in after Tang San used Blue Silver Grass to restrain their opponent. Zhao Wuji's Soul Sage pressure later severely injured and knocked her unconscious. 8 9

During a trip to the Star Dou Great Forest, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Titan Giant Ape seized Xiao Wu and carried her away despite the resistance of Zhao Wuji, Meng Shu, and Chao Tianxiang. Her classmates searched the forest for days before she returned alive, disheveled but stronger. 44 46

To conceal her connection to the forest's rulers, Xiao Wu told the group that the Titan Giant Ape had abandoned her after hearing a mysterious roar. She claimed to have awakened among unconscious soul beasts, found a suitable thousand-year soul beast, and acquired her third Soul Ring. In reality, Er Ming had taken her home to see Da Ming. 46 49 50

Sword Douluo Chen Xin later sensed Xiao Wu's true nature at Heaven Dou Royal Academy.
