Background / History

Tang San is a transmigrator, a fact identified by Gu Ye’s Surgical System when he first visited Gu Ye’s clinic with Xiao Wu. He dismissed Gu Ye’s diagnosis of hemorrhoids and kidney deficiency, leaving in anger after being publicly embarrassed. 2

He later returned to seek treatment, but remained wary of Gu Ye. He tested Gu Ye with poison, which Gu Ye neutralized effortlessly, and withdrew after becoming suspicious of Gu Ye’s proposed treatment. 16 17

As a Shrek student, Tang San became an important tactical controller for his team. He led allies through his Blue Silver Grass, but repeatedly clashed with Zhu Zhuqing when she refused his control or ignored his orders. 93 107

Tang San’s devotion to Xiao Wu shaped many of his decisions. When her identity as a human-form Soul Beast was exposed, he declared that anyone seeking to kill her would have to step over his body; Sword Douluo immediately overwhelmed him with his aura. 157

Bule later used Xiao Wu as bait to lure Tang San into an ambush. Tang San was wounded by Bule’s poisoned, aphrodisiac-laced knife, wounded Bule in return, and ultimately killed and buried him. The incident left him withdrawn and disturbed. 170 171

After being ambushed by Shi Nian’s Lingering Dream, Tang San broke free through willpower and attempted to defend himself with hidden weapons. Tang Hao intervened and killed Shi Nian. 185 186

Tang San’s hatred of Spirit Hall intensified following Yu Xiaogang’s transformation and, later, Tang Hao’s death. After escaping the attack on his father, he vowed revenge against Spirit Hall. 236 289 291

He entered an underground palace connected to Tang Hao’s past and inherited the divine legacy of the God of Evil and Chaos. The inheritance immediately raised him to level 65 and began influencing him toward increasingly evil and abnormal thoughts. 294 299

After three years of recovery and hiding, Tang San was found in Heaven Dou City by Gu Ye. Although he had recovered to level 79, Gu Ye killed him with the Soul Devouring Spider Emperor Soul Bone ability. 312

Personality

Tang San is proud, cautious, and highly driven by personal loyalty. He initially rejected Gu Ye’s diagnosis out of embarrassment and repeatedly distrusted Gu Ye’s motives, including testing him with poison before accepting any treatment. 2 16 17

He is protective of Xiao Wu and willing to confront vastly stronger opponents for her, even when defeat is certain. 157 He is also diligent and self-aware in cultivation, choosing to train after recognizing that his strength lagged behind stronger opponents. 185

Following Bule’s ambush and the God of Evil and Chaos inheritance, Tang San became increasingly reserved, revenge-focused, and psychologically altered by the divine power within him. 171 294 299
