In the blink of an eye, three months passed, and it was now February of Marineford Calendar 1516.
Boom.
Near Loguetown, a pirate ship slowly sank beneath the waves.
"Isn't this the third one this week?"
"Every pirate ship sank not long after setting sail. No one aboard survived."
"I heard the Sea God is angry, punishing these pirates who wanted to commit all kinds of evil."
"It's good that they're dead. Those people turned Loguetown into a complete mess."
On the shore by the harbor, a group of civilians watched the pirate ship slowly sinking into the sea and discussed it among themselves.
"It's a sea fish, at least forty meters long."
On one side of the harbor, a burly figure stood on the shore beside a massive Marine warship. He had fluffy brown hair, a viciously ugly face, and a long sword at his waist.
"Commodore Yuchimura, why is that sea fish attacking pirates?" Beside him stood a strongly built man with a cigar clenched between his teeth.
"I don't know. It arrived here last week and has attacked pirates setting out to sea three times," Yuchimura said with a frown.
"As long as it doesn't attack merchant ships or fishing boats, it's fine. Killing pirates counts as getting rid of a menace for the people." The man sounded unconcerned.
"We really don't need to meddle."
Yuchimura withdrew his gaze and looked at the other man. "Smoker, why did you volunteer to replace me as the person in charge of the Loguetown branch? This isn't exactly a good place."
"Because this is the town where the Pirate King Roger was executed, and it is also a necessary route for East China Sea pirates before they set sail," Smoker said, his gaze distant. He thought of eighteen years ago,
