Luohou's sudden words—"Friend, wait"—plunged the atmosphere into a cold, deathly stalemate.
The night was deep and the dew heavy; outside the city, all was barren and still. In such an atmosphere, an abrupt remark after the transaction had ended inevitably invited unnecessary speculation.
