God of Life said nothing. They could not say anything. They merely closed their eyes again with difficulty.
They needed to stabilize their divine power and their mind as quickly as possible.
The reason they sat still, closing their eyes from time to time, was because Nightmare's power had been creating countless bizarre yet intoxicating false dreams for them.
They kept their body completely still, even sitting on the ground in a posture uncommon for a god, simply so they could distinguish reality from illusion in the most direct way possible.
They opened their eyes to remind themselves of the real world, then closed them to focus on dealing with the illusions. Only then could they eliminate Nightmare's divine influence as quickly as possible.
But now, whether their eyes were open or closed, they found it all utterly incomprehensible.
Being desperately held back by a human had already been hard for their pride to accept. And now... had Nightmare's power grown stronger? A dream within a dream?
