It was clearly a god that had already died, clearly one that had died more than once, over and over again! Why was that bastard so damned hard to get rid of?
And the one before them, who seemed to be that god's successor, was just as troublesome and unfathomable.
"What... are you talking about now?"
The Arbiter gritted their teeth and looked down at the one who had played dead beneath their feet for so long before finally speaking again.
For some reason, just hearing this guy talk made their heart tremble.
Right now, they only wanted to kill the gods at all costs, secure their own safety, then slowly absorb the divine power and deal with this "good brother" before them.
"Heh heh..." Lu Ce gave a strange laugh, his thoughts returning once more to his final meeting with Pain.
That guy had once told him that no god truly understood the essence of divine power—not even Pain himself.
No matter what Lu Ce planned to do in the future, no matter what he intended to accomplish, he had to rely on Karma's power.
That guy could make things unknown to the universe, things whose principles no one understood, come to pass through bizarre paths.
It was a little like drawing a lottery ticket. But if he wanted to "end" all this, to "end" the era of the gods, then naturally he would need a little luck.
Yet no one knew how to make use of Karma. The only one who had ever used Karma, Pain, had succeeded back then only because he wanted to kill himself.
That was not something that could be replicated.
So the only possible method was to make Karma's divine power riot, forcing Karma to interfere with the causality of this universe themself.
