Three days later, Ang quietly arrived in Amnath City.

He did not linger for long. Instead, he quickly joined a merchant caravan preparing to head for Fortress of Will.

The caravan's guard captain saw that he was taciturn yet composed, so he did not ask many questions. He merely nodded and allowed Ang to join the rear of the group.

The journey was uneventful, and a day later, the grand caravan arrived at Fortress of Will.

The gates of Fortress of Will towered high and imposing, while the black Stone Wall seemed to have split out from the surrounding mountains, creating an oppressive yet solemn atmosphere.

The moment Ang stepped through the gates of Fortress of Will, he felt that familiar yet unsettling sensation of being watched fall upon him again.

He frowned slightly, but his expression did not change. He simply bid the caravan farewell and walked alone into the city, seemingly wandering about at random.

Before long, a young man dressed in ordinary leather clothes and wearing an immature expression hurried toward him.

With an enthusiastic smile on his face, he said eagerly, "My lord, is this your first time in Fortress of Will? If you are willing to hire me, I can show you around for just two Silver Wacks."

As he spoke, the young guide quietly took a small stone statue from his pocket. It was one of the tokens the Black Mage had previously given Ang.

Ang's heart stirred slightly. His gaze swept over one corner of the stone carving, and he immediately understood.

He spoke calmly. "Lead the way."

"Of course, my lord. However, according to the rules within the fortress, the fee must be paid in advance."
