After the warrior left, the door was gently pushed open again.
Quintina walked in, still carrying the chill of the night. She had clearly just returned from patrol.
The moment she entered, she stared at Ang with a complicated look in her eyes. "I just heard that you threw someone off the northern wall. Is that true?"
Ang still stood by the window, gazing out at the distant wilderness. "Yeah. He came to ambush me, and I caught him."

Ang walked to the table and casually picked up a cup of water, handing it to Quintina. "You must have heard quite a few rumors about Heidni of Byron Fortress these past few days, right?"
Quintina nodded, her expression growing visibly more solemn. "You mean... you were involved in that matter?"
Ang did not answer directly. He merely gave a soft "Mm."
Quintina froze. Only after a long while did she slowly step forward and gently embrace Ang.
She did not question him further. She simply held him tightly, as though she wanted to crush all that exhaustion and pressure away.
"It's okay. We're here for you," she said softly, her tone gentle yet firm.
Ang chuckled. "If I were afraid, I wouldn't have dealt with that Black Mage."
"I know." Quintina nodded lightly and took a step back, her eyes filled with complicated emotions. "But I'll still worry about you."
Ang had originally thought that this little disturbance had come to an end. After all, the Black Mage Church was dead, and no one could spread word
