Ang leaned against the window, his gaze distant, as though he were struggling to grasp a blurry memory.

After a moment, he frowned slightly and slowly said, "Before I lost consciousness... I think I saw a silver-white figure. Who was that person?"

Quintina set down the crystal cup in her hand and looked up at him, a trace of gravity in her expression.

She shook her head. "I don't know. He didn't reveal his identity. He only said that your soul had been scattered... then turned and left."

After a pause, her eyes flickered, and she finally asked, "Ang, could that person... have been working with the demons?"

Ang pondered for a moment before shaking his head. "Probably not. His aura felt like that of a powerful human, and... he was most likely an Epic level expert."

"I remember seeing a silver-white spear pierce straight toward that Tier 3 Foul Spirit before I passed out." His voice carried certainty, along with complicated emotions.

"But he clearly saw that you were hurt, yet only said you were beyond saving before leaving." Quintina furrowed her brows, unable to conceal the doubt in her tone. "It seemed like he teleported away, but there wasn't any magical fluctuation."

"The methods of someone at that level are difficult for us to understand." Ang sighed softly, trying to ease the displeasure in her voice.

Yet when he caught sight of Quintina's expression, he understood that she still harbored some resentment toward that silver-white figure.

"It's fine." Ang gently took her hand and smiled reassuringly.

"He said I was beyond saving... and he wasn't entirely wrong. My soul really had been shattered by that Tier 3 Foul Spirit. I was merely lucky that the soul fragments remaining in my body hadn't completely dissipated."
