"You should go back and experiment with it yourself first. You still have an extra Tutataab body in your hands anyway," Ang said calmly.
Lanlost's expression darkened slightly, but he said nothing more. He merely nodded coldly and turned to leave.
The heavy footsteps gradually faded away, leaving the room in silence.
Ang watched the figure disappearing through the doorway, a trace of coldness flashing through his eyes as he murmured, "I've already repaid you for saving me twice."
After confirming there was nothing else to deal with, he did not linger and walked straight into the Plane Portal.

Maple Sugar City, Teleportation Plaza.
The towering portal roared into operation beneath the glow of its formation base. Crowds packed the surrounding area, and the atmosphere was oppressive yet restless.
Large numbers of Maple Sugar City residents gathered along the edge of the plaza, watching that gateway of both hope and uncertainty with complicated expressions.
"My lord!" Hal hurried forward at once, bowing respectfully with a trace of joy and awe on his face.
Ang swept his gaze over the area and frowned slightly. "These citizens are gathered here. Aren't you letting them leave?"
Hal answered somewhat awkwardly, "My lord, transporting supplies and coordinating manpower is rather complicated right now. To avoid chaos, the people of the Maple Sugar Plane are temporarily not allowed to leave freely."
Ang narrowed his eyes but did not state his position immediately. Instead, he asked, "Are Charles and Donna all right?"
"They are both unharmed. They are currently stationed in the city with the army and assisting with its defense," Hal replied quickly.
Ang nodded. After pondering for a moment, he said firmly, "Go inform the Grand Duke. Tell him to prepare for a pre-war meeting."
"Yes, sir!" Hal answered and left.
Ang stood
