A truck crashed into the defensive line of soldiers patrolling back and forth.
It ran over one person after another like a rabid dog. Though everyone fired into the cab, the truck showed no sign of stopping.
Only when it slammed into the steep slope of a hill did its smoking engine finally die.
The soldiers swarmed forward and tightly surrounded the truck's cab. In less than a second, the driver inside would be riddled with bullets.

But when the door was opened, all they saw was an accelerator pedal jammed in place. There was no driver in sight.
The next second, the grenade connected to the door detonated. One blast triggered a chain of explosions that ran straight to the truck's fuel tank.
The violent explosion swallowed everyone present. Other wandering soldiers were drawn in by the sound and slowly closed in.
Watching more and more soldiers gather, Ye Ming threw out two grenades, blasting down a large number of enemies. He then darted out from behind cover and shot several soldiers dead in quick succession.
"Damn... they reacted fast."
The soldiers arriving afterward immediately returned fire. Bullets swept toward him like rain. Ye Ming exchanged fire with the enemy from behind cover for a while before seizing an opening and running out.
He kept moving without pause, terrified of being pinned behind cover and left to die like before.
