• Konoha Ninja spent three days laying traps and defensive lines along the coast.

Chen led Konoha shinobi to sabotage Kirigakure’s supply route while Sakumo attacked strongholds in the Land of Waves. After escaping the explosions, Chen’s team encountered the Three-Tails Jinchuriki, Hosokawa, and Chen stayed behind to face him.

• Chen gathered the Konoha Jonin in the mist and ambushed Onihozu Lengyue, defeating him with a Genjutsu that left him sinking underwater.

• White Zetsu watched the battle and revealed that releasing the Three-Tails was part of a plan to drain Chen’s Sage Chakra.
• Chen entered Sage Mode as Hosokawa underwent a complete Tailed Beast Transformation, and Isobu attacked him.
• Chen dodged Isobu’s strikes, but its armored body shattered his Chidori Sharp Spear and its tail sent him flying.
• Chen used Sage Art: Severing Wave to cut off one of Isobu’s tails, then interrupted its Tailed Beast Bomb with Earth, Fire, and Wind combination techniques.

Himeji was betrayed by a White Zetsu impersonating Kitada, who stole her Byakugan, while Chen fought through Kirigakure forces to reach her. He arrived at the valley where the controlled Fourth Mizukage Yagura blocked his way, with Himeji injured inside a spatial barrier.

• Himeji and Kitada fled Kirigakure pursuers, but White Zetsu impersonating Kitada ambushed her and stole one of her Byakugan eyes.
• Himeji escaped after using Rotation, while White Zetsu left with the stolen eye and Kirigakure ninja pursued her.
• Chen rushed toward Himeji despite recognizing the trap and killed the Kirigakure ninja who blocked his way.

Chen battled Yagura, whose Coral Staff and Water Mirror Jutsu created a shadow that copied Chen’s abilities. Realizing he needed to end the fight quickly before his remaining strength ran out, Chen opened the Sixth Gate and prepared his final strike.

• Chen blocked Yagura’s Coral Staff attacks and exchanged Fire Release and weapon strikes with him.

Chen fought through Yagura and Fugaku’s ambush, countering their attacks and reaching Himeji in the Valley. As the buried Explosive Tags detonated around them, Chen awakened and used Magatsu-Kami to carry Himeji through the flames unharmed.

• Chen defeated Yagura’s Water Clone and struck him with Morning Peacock, leaving him fallen in a crater.
• Fugaku attacked Chen with Amaterasu, but Chen’s Sealing Fire Technique Scroll absorbed the Black Flames.

• Chen left the Land of Waves with Big White and planned to exploit the Hidden Mist Village's lack of top-tier fighters.
• Mei Terumi walked through the village with her bodyguard Aduo, upset that her father had forgotten her birthday and that a classmate had mocked her.
• Mei Terumi complained about her father and joked with Aduo about the war and Aduo's lack of a boyfriend.

Fugaku learned that Chen had invaded the Hidden Mist Village while he was at a lake tracking the Three-Tails, and ordered the village to protect the Six-Tails Jinchuriki. Chen was discovered as soon as he entered the village and sent clones to pursue separate objectives while he prepared to attack the Mizukage Building.

• White Zetsu told Fugaku that Chen had appeared in the Hidden Mist Village, and Fugaku ordered the Six-Tails Jinchuriki moved and the village ninja mobilized.
• A Mist Ninja spotted Chen after he emerged from a Summoning Snake and fired a Signal Flare.
• Chen used Body Flicker to kick the Mist Ninja away and surveyed the Hidden Mist Village.

• White Zetsu disguised as Nanmu led thirty Mist Ninja out of Kirigakure with the Six-Tails Jinchuriki during the village attack.
• Chen’s Shadow Clone appeared in their path and faced the escort squad.

Uchiha Chen pursued Aduo and Mei Terumi, defeating Aduo and capturing Mei Terumi after she attacked him. Mei Terumi was left hanging upside down, exhausted and afraid to resist.

• Mei Terumi spotted Chen and urged Aduo to capture him, but Aduo recognized him and fled with her.
• Chen chased them, and Aduo attacked him with Water Release and Lava Release.
• Chen countered with a lightning-enhanced Water Dragon Bullet and struck Aduo with a rising knee.
• Mei Terumi attacked Chen with a fireball containing Boil Release, but he appeared behind her and knocked her down.

Chen fought Aduo while holding the young Mei Terumi, then vanished after a double Tailed Beast Bomb struck his Rashomon. His other Shadow Clone faced the Six-Tails Jinchuriki in Sage Mode and launched a Chidori Sharp Spear infused with Amaterasu.

Ao awaited a Byakugan transplant in Hidden Mist Village as Konoha Lightning attacked, but Chen stormed the hospital and took the Byakugan. The chapter ended with Chen killing Ao.

• Ao waited in a sealed room for a Byakugan transplant and feared the explosions outside meant Konoha was attacking Hidden Mist Village.
• Fuji led Ao and Tamura toward an emergency passage, where Chen appeared and attacked the Mist Ninja guarding the corridor.
• Chen killed the Anbu and controlled Fuji into handing over the Byakugan, then snapped Fuji's neck.
• Chen found the badly wounded Ao beneath another corpse and killed him by breaking his neck.

Chen obtained the Byakugan and headed to the Mizukage Building, where he waited for the Hidden Mist Village’s forces to gather. Hozuki Takigetsu used the crisis to build support for becoming the Fifth Mizukage, then ordered hundreds of Mist Ninja to attack Chen with long-range Ninjutsu.

• After completing his objective, Chen advanced toward the Mizukage Building while five Shadow Clones prepared to lure the Mist Ninja to him.
• Hozuki Takigetsu waited for Kirigakure’s forces to gather, intending to surround Chen and wear him down.
• Hozuki Takigetsu condemned Chen before the gathered Mist Ninja and seized the chance to present himself as the village’s leader while Yagura was absent.

After Konoha Lightning devastated Hidden Mist Village, Yagura and the elders debated responsibility, reconstruction, and suing for peace, while Fugaku controlled Yagura and ordered the village to withdraw from the war. At the funeral for more than a thousand dead, Mei Terumi reflected on surviving the attack and the burden of living under its shadow.

• Yagura told the elders he had left to retrieve the Three-Tails, and Hozuki Ayatsuki blamed him for the destruction and demanded an explanation for his clan head's death.
