Xu Yichen completed his Sea God Island trials, strengthened his divine powers, and helped several women pursue divine inheritances as the conflict over Douluo Continent escalated. The arc left Xu Yichen fighting the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, who broke free from his chains.

• Xu Yichen and the women defeated the Evil Spirit Orcas, and the women began their Sacred Pillar Guardian trials after a month of training.
• The women completed Sea God's Five Trials, while Xu Yichen completed his sixth trial, gained the Eye of Constellations, and fused his Seven Star Pagoda into the Dragon Soul Pagoda.
• Xu Yichen visited Spirit Hall, where he reunited with Bibi Dong and Hu Liena, while Tang San prepared to conquer the Star Luo Empire and Dai Mubai sought the God of War's inheritance.
• Xu Yichen healed Gu Yuena, upgraded her Silver Dragon Spear, and brought her to the Dragon Tomb, where the Heart of the Dragon God chose her as its successor.
• Huo Wu inherited the Fire God’s position, Gu Yuena began the Dragon God's Nine Trials, and Qian Renxue began Angel's Nine Trials.
• Dugu Yan and Meng Yiran crossed the Valley of Death, where Dugu Yan accepted the Evil God inheritance and Meng Yiran received the Nine Trials of Death.
• Dai Mubai received the God of War's inheritance, while Xu Yichen completed his seventh trial and set out with Gu Yuena and Bo Saixi to face the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.
• Xu Yichen wounded and restrained the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, but the king unleashed a crystal-shell explosion that severed the Star Sea Chains and freed him.

Xu Yichen defeated Dai Mubai, completed his final trial, and helped the Spirit Hall Empire unify the continent while the Bloodthirsty God King escaped into Tang San’s body. As the Demon Divine Realm invaded, Xu Yichen’s newly ascended allies joined the battered Douluo Divine Realm and turned the battle toward a counterattack.

• Xu Yichen killed the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, completed his eighth trial, and learned that Tang San had joined forces with Dai Mubai.
• Xu Yichen helped arrange the Heaven Dou Empire’s merger with Spirit Hall as Dai Mubai seized the Star Luo throne and prepared for war.
• Xu Yichen defeated Dai Mubai beneath the Star Luo Mountains, completed his ninth trial, and unified the continent under the Spirit Hall Empire.
• The Bloodthirsty God King took over Tang San’s body, escaped Xu Yichen, and warned the Demon Divine Realm about the Douluo Divine Realm.
• Xu Yichen warned the Divine Realm Committee of the coming threat, while Bo Saixi ascended as the Sea God and the women at Angel Academy pursued their inheritances.
• The Demon Divine Realm invaded, and its God Kings overwhelmed the Douluo Divine Realm’s defenders as Xu Yichen waited outside the battle with the women.
• Xu Yichen sent the women into battle, where Ning Rongrong and Ye Lingling healed allies and helped the Douluo Divine Realm begin a counterattack.
