Chen Yi looked at the players. "You're weak. If you leave the planet Runeterra, a single sneeze from a Starguardian could kill a whole group of you."
"But as long as you're on Runeterra, the Starguardians' advantage over you is limited. At most, they can reach level 59, and their destructive power is restricted."
"I don't need to explain the benefits of killing a deity. Killing one on Runeterra gets you all the rewards—equivalent to defeating something above your level."
The players said nothing. They had come precisely because they knew the benefits of killing deities.
Who would do something that brought no profit?
Every deity meant an enormous haul. Starguardians whose essence was worms were still deities.
Just because Chen Yi spent money like water didn't mean Copper Coins had lost their value.
For low-level players, Copper Coins were still very valuable.
For a Tier 3 player, getting an epic-quality piece of equipment—or even Saint Spirit-grade equipment—would provide enough resources for a long time.
At the thought of that, the players' minds began to stir.
"Mr. Yi, I understand the reasoning, but what if the Starguardians stay in the sky and refuse to come down?"
"A Tier 5 boss is probably beyond our combat strength. They don't even need to be outside the planet to one-shot us without losing any health."
"War Mode hasn't been activated, and Resurrection Coins..."
The fortress turned into a marketplace.
Chen Yi gave a light cough, and invisible pressure descended.
Quite a few of these players were testing him.
If Chen Yi was truly so badly injured that he could not move, then he might very well be using them as cannon fodder.
Still, that possibility was small. No matter what players agreed to verbally, they could always run.
Even so, their concerns were
