June had passed. Although my efforts in the final few days hadn't changed the result, I still hadn't made it into the top ten.
But I was still immensely grateful for your monthly votes and support, my lords.
Thank you for tolerating how often I begged for votes.
Thank you for tolerating my miserable sob stories, even though everything I said was true.
Pastry kowtowed for one minute (forehead pressed against the tabletop for one minute; that was absolutely true too)...
One minute was up.
Over the past June, I updated a total of 460,000 words.
I had still maintained high output. What a comfort.
This book had entered its final stretch. Only a few hundred thousand words remained before it ended.
I had originally wanted to relax a little, updating eight or nine thousand words a day so I wouldn't have to run myself ragged.
But... since I was fighting, I might as well fight from beginning to end.
Only by persisting until the book was finished could it count as victory, could it count as hard work.
So in July, updates would probably still be around 15,000 words a day.
Fifteen thousand—this would probably become one of my obsessions with writing.
July should also be this book's final attempt to compete for the monthly vote rankings.
The goal was still the top ten! It would probably be even harder than June, definitely.
I wondered whether you, my lords, would grant this wish?
As I always said, whether I succeeded or not, Pastry would be immensely grateful to everyone.
I would only bury my head and write desperately. I left everything else to you, my lords.
For the final month, we fight for the top ten in monthly votes! Please grant this wish, benefactors! Kowtow!
Thank you for
