In Honkai, Loving Only Valkyries

"You couldn't possibly... be Elysia."

MEI had said something so absurd it sounded like Arabian Nights.

Yeah, what had she been thinking? How could Otto possibly be Elysia? Elysia had clearly died in the Previous Era. How much longer was she supposed to chase after her ghost?

"You read my memories!?"

MEI abruptly rose to her feet, clutching her head as she spoke through gritted teeth. She really had found something familiar in Otto, but she refused to believe that the person she had mourned all this time was the one who had imprisoned her for so long.

She was very rational.

So MEI believed it was highly likely that Otto had read her memories and then imitated the Elysia within them.

That was entirely possible.

Otto helplessly shrugged. Unlike the more emotional Eden, MEI did not immediately believe that he was the "Elysia" she knew.

So Otto moved closer to MEI in the bath.

As Otto approached, MEI tried to retreat, but she was already at the edge of the pool with nowhere left to go. Her hands hovered awkwardly before her chest. The legendary Dr. MEI now looked like an ordinary young girl, which Otto found somewhat refreshing.

Standing before MEI, Otto did not press his body against hers. He merely raised his right hand and lightly tapped her forehead.

Proving his identity was actually very simple.

He did not intend to drag things out or leave any distance between himself and MEI.

Otto removed certain fragments, and memories of his time as "Elysia" flashed through MEI's mind like fleeting images.

"Not long ago, I went back more than fifty thousand years, then lived through that era as Elysia until its destruction."

Otto said with a smile.

"And I'm very glad to have met all of you."

"Mm!"
