Background / History

A five-hundred-year-old man transmigrates into the body of Otto Apocalypse, Schicksal's current Bishop. He initially fears that the original Otto may still be active through one of his many alternate bodies, but accepts the situation and resolves to exploit his knowledge of the Honkai world. 1

The System immediately becomes central to his survival. It grants him a Divine Key random gift pack, then forcibly sends his body from Schicksal Headquarters to confront Raven, the current wielder of Judgement of Shamash. After Raven is defeated, the weapon is transferred to Otto's inventory and he regains control of his body. 1 2

Otto's attempt to recruit Raiden Mei triggers her awakening as the Herrscher of Thunder. When the Will of Honkai possesses Mei and declares Otto an outsider interfering with civilization's trial, he avoids immediate death by unequipping Judgement of Shamash through the System, breaking the Will's control of Mei's body. 22 23

During a later confrontation in the void, Otto activates the System's backup plan, sacrifices his right arm, and takes six Authorities from the Will of Honkai. He returns the Conquest Gem to Mei before his body disintegrates, then transfers into a new physical body as the System upgrades. 65 67 69

Otto normally appears as a fair-skinned young man of about twenty, despite being over five hundred years old. He has long blond hair and blue eyes, with his hair tied into a ponytail over his left shoulder. 1

His growing power repeatedly threatens his humanity. During his Demigod ascension and later use of higher authorities, Otto experiences emotional detachment and fears becoming an existence comparable to the Will of Honkai.
