Unfortunately, this was not the time to strike up a conversation. Kiana regretfully took out her phone and asked Kiana and the others where they were. After waiting a moment, Kiana sent back a reply.
She and Durandal were helping out in the kitchen.
Helping out?
Kiana smiled faintly.
They really weren't sneaking food, were they?
Still, with Durandal there, Kiana was not too worried. Neither Hua nor Mei was anywhere to be seen; they were probably in the kitchen too. With so many people to feed, Yae Sakura alone would not know when she would finally be done.
"Good niece, drink this!"
Theresa cheerfully brought over three cups of juice. One of them was an extremely ominous color, clearly Bitter Melon Juice, a specialty of Schicksal Headquarters. Kiana thanked her, took the juice, and carefully took a small sip.
But as she had been observing the people around her, she suddenly froze.
Kiana's eyes widened.
She looked toward another woman in the party who stood out from the crowd. She was a mature woman dressed in a white robe, wearing black-rimmed glasses, with a black-and-red katana tied at her waist.
And that face... was identical to Mei's.
Yet she lacked Mei's youthful air. Whether it was her figure or the bearing revealed between her brows, she was far more mature than Mei.
Could she be my Mei!?
Before the surprise in her heart could rise, Kiana remembered the other woman's identity.
She was Dr. MEI.
When Otto had unboxed MEI back then, Kiana had been there. Perhaps she had even given Otto a bit of a luck buff at the time.
Kiana did not go over to talk to MEI. They were not familiar with each other, and Kiana would not treat MEI as her own Mei simply because
