Otto was the one who answered Durandal with a smile. Having recovered, he held the Oath of Judah in his right hand and the Black Abyss White Flower in his left. He walked behind Kiana, then turned his back to her.

Otto and Kiana stood back-to-back.

"Besides, my mother was the head of the Saniyat family, and I was once the head of the Three Great Families. By rights, I am the rightful heir to the Black Abyss White Flower. How could it be called a relic?"

Otto said with a smile, nudging Kiana's rear with his butt.

"If you can't bring yourself to do it, leave it to me."

"...I'm your bodyguard."

Kiana had not come here solely because of Otto. She also needed to return with him, back to her new home.

With her back against Otto's, Kiana looked toward the crowd eyeing them like tigers.

"I really never thought you and I would have a day like this."

Kiana said irritably.

"You mean flying side by side?"

Otto replied with a smile. Though they stood surrounded, neither showed the slightest fear.

"Get lost. It should be fighting shoulder to shoulder."

Kiana said crossly.

Yes.

Standing back-to-back with Otto, entrusting their backs to each other... Kiana had truly never imagined this day would come.

"Kiana."

Otto nudged Kiana's rear.

"After we go back, after Luna is born, who should tell her our story?"

Dad and Mom flying side by side—fighting shoulder to shoulder. Rarely, it was a story they could tell a child.

Kiana responded by nudging Otto's butt with her own.

"Obviously me, idiot."
