Durandal's posture and the way she looked at Otto made it obvious even to a blind man that their relationship went beyond that of superior and subordinate.
This made Siegfried feel stifled. Of the three Kianas, only Kiana noticed something was off with him, but she merely found it rather amusing.
It took Siegfried a while to recover. For a moment just now, he had vaguely seen his deceased grandfather.
But looking at this family portrait, Siegfried felt both conflicted and furious. He was happy that his daughters had found their lovers, but what was with all of them hanging from the same old tree?
Siegfried felt that he needed to calm down. He looked toward the dining table, and the delicious-looking meal made him swallow reflexively.
"The food looks good. Who made it?"
Siegfried naturally walked over to the table and asked curiously.
"Otto made it." But Kiana's answer made Siegfried's heart skip a beat. Why was Otto everywhere? Come to think of it, he did not seem to have ever eaten a meal made by Bishop Otto, though he had often heard his mother talk about it in the past.
He would give it a try today.
Siegfried sat down to eat, but Kiana, who was standing in the kitchen, spoke up.
"Ah, looks like there aren't any utensils for you, Dad."
Kiana looked at the tableware. Kiana's Home sometimes held gatherings, so every set of utensils had a designated user.
"Good thing there are disposable ones."
Kiana thankfully placed a disposable bowl and chopsticks before Siegfried. Siegfried stared blankly at them. As the father, he was actually using this kind of thing.
Then, with his sharp eyes, he noticed what seemed to be an unused set of beautiful tableware beside the kitchen utensils.
"I can use that."
