Xiao Cang helped Medusa lead the Snake People Clan out of the desert, then reunited with Yun Yun and Nalan Yanran while defeating a Soul Hall protector and expanding his family. After traveling to the Black Corner Region and marrying Su Mei, he reached Jia Nan Academy, where his arrival earned Ruolin a promotion and brought him back together with Xiao Yu and Xue Ni.

• Medusa broke through to Dou Zong and named Xiao Cang the Snake People Clan’s Regent King, and he secured the Amethyst Winged Lion King’s agreement to let the clan settle in the Monster Beast Mountain Range.
• Xiao Cang helped Medusa settle the Snake People Clan, reunited with Qing Lin, and later returned to the Misty Cloud Sect, where he discovered Protector Wu threatening Yun Shan and Yun Leng.
• Xiao Cang defeated Protector Wu with his four Strange Fires, made him a Soul Slave, and reunited with Nalan Yanran, whom he married before leaving the sect.

Xiao Cang subdued the Fallen Heart Flame, married Zi Yan, and secured Han Yue’s agreement to marry him before the Xiao Family faced attacks from the Hun Clan and Gu Clan. He won Gu Yuan’s support and defeated Gu Ling, then returned to Yun Yun, who gave birth to their daughter, Xiao Yiyi.

• Xiao Cang escaped the Magma World after unleashing a Seven-colored Buddha's Rage Fire Lotus, then gave Jia Nan Academy a juvenile Fallen Heart Flame to replace the one he had refined.
• Xiao Cang married Zi Yan, gained new strength and treasures from the system, and promised to help rescue her father, Zhu Kun.
