Wang Ye's face immediately darkened.
Showing off.
Nine out of every ten things that old bastard said were just him showing off, putting on an air of superiority as if he were some god looking down upon all living things. Was that supposed to be interesting?
Seeing that Immortal Official of the South Pole had no intention of speaking with him further, Wang Ye simply shrugged indifferently and swaggered out.
He casually picked a corner. A newly developed phone from Zhang Xiao slipped out of his sleeve.
"These ancient people who have only just awakened still don't understand modern technology. The signal's okay, right?"
Wang Ye picked up the phone and asked with a smile.
Zhao Hai's calm voice came through from the other end, along with the faint, continuous rustling of papers. "The signal's fine. I can hear you clearly."
"Don't bother with Immortal Official of the South Pole. Keep doing what you want to do. This man is very confident. As long as you don't refute him, he'll assume you agree with his ideas."
"His plan definitely isn't as simple as what he said. I'm also looking forward to seeing what trump cards he brings out. When the time comes, try to wipe them all out in one go."
"If there's nothing else, hang up."
From beginning to end, Zhao Hai remained utterly composed, his voice devoid of any emotional fluctuation.
Wang Ye froze for a moment. "You mean... I don't need to handle something this major?"
"Mm."
Zhao Hai gave a perfunctory hum from the other end of the line.
"You're kidding, right?"
"He's a strategist on the same level as you and has Heaven as a massive weapon. Shouldn't we be treating this more cautiously?"
"What's with the half-hearted attitude?"
Wang Ye added two more remarks.
