The pain made Ra's al Ghul gasp for breath. Then he violently swung his left arm, smashing his clenched left fist into Downton's temple!

Crack!

After another sharp snap, the knuckle of Ra's al Ghul's clenched, curled left thumb suddenly shattered.

The intense pain and the humiliation of being unable to break through his defense made Ra's al Ghul frown deeply.

A moment later, he drew in a breath and spun his body. He whipped his right arm like a steel lash, his arm seeming bonelessly flexible as it viciously struck Downton's body.
