The first time Tom attended class with dark circles under his eyes, he grumbled to himself about the detestable senior. If it weren't for that unforgettable, vexing dream, he wouldn't be afraid to fall asleep!
"I believe you've all learned about the Immobilus spell in Charms class. I want to remind you that this spell isn't just for locking doors; it can also be used to block enemies..." Professor Merrythought stifled a yawn. As a Dark Defense professor, it was perfectly reasonable for him to have been out wandering the Forbidden Forest last night!
That idiot Herbert, who enjoyed charades, had insisted on dragging him to find Sylvanus late at night. Ugh... it was just so tiring. Merrythought yawned again. He didn't think the little wizards would appreciate the entertainment for this year's Christmas banquet.
Tears welled up in Tom's eyes, not for any other reason than being infected by Professor Merrythought's yawn. He couldn't help but let out a yawn himself. Wiping his eyes, he pursed his lips and met the professor's playful gaze.
"Hehehe~ Little Tom~ Why don't you come up and demonstrate Immobilus for your classmates?" Merrythought grinned, winked, and beckoned the blushing little wizard over. With a flick of his wand, a training dummy appeared. That brat... daring to imitate his yawn, what a lack of respect!
Giving the professor a speechless look, Tom widened his eyes and stepped forward. He drew his wand and cast a perfect Immobilus spell at the dummy. Smiling, he looked at the drowsy professor and tugged at his sleeve. "Professor Merrythought..."
Blinking rapidly, Merrythought didn't even glance at the dummy. He clapped his hands together dramatically. "Mm-hmm! Good, good, a very standard stance! Slytherin gets two points~"
Tom accepted the points with a reserved expression, feeling a mix of amusement and exasperation. What standard stance? He had just casually waved his wand. The professor was being far too obvious; the stupid lions were practically rolling their eyes to the back of their heads.
"Cool~ Boss! How'd you do that?" Radolphus Lestrange gazed at Tom with starry eyes, full of admiration and envy. How could they be the same age, yet he couldn't wield magic so effortlessly?
Was it because his wand tip didn't have a hook? Should he ask Carcattacus to make him one?
Avery smacked his friend on the head, successfully stopping him from reaching for Tom's wrist. "Get lost, you idiot. You'll need another lifetime to do that!"
Ignoring their bickering, Tom cast a indifferent glance at them. Receiving the signal, Radolphus rubbed his face and clamped his mouth shut. Fine, their boss had a bad temper, it was a shame to waste such a handsome face.
After class, Tom headed straight for the library. He needed to thoroughly research dreams!
He pulled out several books on Divination and quickly flipped through them. The more he read, the tighter his brow furrowed. Only Seers had the ability of foresight, and he wasn't a Trelawney. The Slytherin bloodline also lacked the ability to perceive the future.
If that was the case, then what were all the things he saw in his dreams? The sensations were so real; he couldn't believe it was just a dream.
"What~ Interested in Divination?"
The familiar intonation, the familiar scent. Tom looked up expressionlessly, seeing the person he least wanted to see right now. This feeling was truly awful. "...Senior Abou, are you... very free?"
