"How about you surrender now, before anything happens? I know a Sheriff who keeps chocolate ice cream in the interrogation room freezer."
"What I mean is, we're very alike, Spider-Man."
Spider-Man's mask turned into an "o.O" again as he stared at Mysterio in disbelief. Mysterio had actually scared him for a moment. What the hell was this guy talking about?
"You're different from the other superheroes. You wear a mask and hide your identity. Just like me—I wear a mask too, and I do these things."
"Bank robbers wear masks too. Don't tell me bank robbers are just like us?!"
After using his sonar device to confirm that there really was a Mysterio in front of him, Parker immediately fired electrified Silk. He yanked Mysterio over and punched his fishbowl head. He had expected to shatter the fishbowl with one blow and end this, but the result was unexpected—Peter had punched off Mysterio's entire head, fishbowl and all. And it was not just what he saw; the sonar image showed the same thing.
Mysterio's oversized head fell off. Then he held it in his hands and floated in midair.
"Why not? Robbers only dare rob banks after putting on masks, and you can only be a superhero when you wear yours."
"Admit it, Spider-Man. You're just like me. We're afraid. Without your mask, you're afraid of being a superhero. You're afraid of people criticizing you, afraid of disappointing those who believe in you, afraid that people will place too many expectations on you until there's nowhere left to run."
