Heavenly Sword

From the rocket's ignition to the fairing's rupture, there were only 118 seconds. In those 118 seconds, Peter had to accomplish two things.

"First, beat the hell out of you!"

Enduring the crushing G-forces, Peter charged at Carnage. In the supersonic environment, he wasn't sure whether Carnage could hear what he was saying, but there was no doubt the other man could see his actions.

Cletus's arms transformed into blades, and the tendrils on his back softened before turning into countless blades that came slashing at him. Claws shot out from Peter's back, catching Carnage's blades, and then he drove a heavy punch into the two arm-blades Carnage swung at him.

After that punch, Carnage's arms began to shatter before regenerating at high speed. Peter tried to evade Carnage's next attack with a backflip, but he nearly got flung off the rocket. Fortunately, he grabbed one of Carnage's tendrils in time and avoided being thrown away.

"That's it, Spider-Man! Your webbing, your strength, every ability you have is useless here! This is the place I prepared for you to die!" Carnage's legs split apart into nail-like feet that firmly anchored themselves to the rocket's outer hull, allowing him to walk with relative ease. He controlled his tendrils to drag Peter over. "Die!"

"Sorry, what did you say?! The wind's too loud—I can't hear you!"

In the midst of the crisis, Peter jammed the claws on his back into the rocket in time, then kicked Carnage squarely. Carnage was thrown into the air, but webbing caught on his back. Peter then cast Serathok's Crimson Chains, strengthening the restraints around Carnage once more. Bound in chains, Carnage was slammed beneath the rocket's engine exhaust, letting out a shriek that couldn't be suppressed even in the supersonic environment.
