The instant Peter broke away from the rocket, he used his dwindling supply of nanobots to form flight thrusters and stabilize himself. He then opened a Sling Ring portal to leave the bombing range. After casting a spell to float in midair, he quietly watched from afar as a vast stretch of ocean was bombarded by the Heavenly Sword Bureau's base battleship.

Because Kovac had altered reality before leaving, Kang's flagship was captured without suffering much damage. The United Nations then held a meeting and established the Heavenly Sword Bureau around this future warship, whose principles humanity still could not fully understand, to handle negotiations with and defense against extraterrestrial civilizations.

Naturally, this warship became Earth's most powerful weapon, and Peter had called it in to bombard Carnage.

Peter did not think Cletus could survive a bombardment of that magnitude, but just in case, after the bombing ended, he opened a Sling Ring portal and arrived at the place where Carnage had been bombarded to make sure Cletus was truly dead.
