Infiltrating the Deep Sea

For this operation, the Avengers made a few tactical adjustments.

First, Namor needed to return to Atlantis and rally the Atlantean government. The nation's elite forces, along with the king himself, had been defeated. Atlantis was surely in turmoil now. Unless something unexpected happened, that so-called "usurper," Krang, had already begun using every means at his disposal to make one Atlantean city after another submit to him.

As for whether Namor's return would have any effect, or how much effect it would have, that was indeed unknown. But at the very least, him returning alive was certainly better than him remaining missing. Moreover, for a better chance of infiltrating Poseidon's temple, the Avengers needed Namor to lure Krang away.

And Namor, who felt such responsibility toward Atlantis, returned without so much as a complaint for once.

Then came the next pair. Strange enlisted other mages from Kamar-Taj to help Thor locate Enchantress. Once they found her, Thor would deal with her. The reason Thor had been sent was that, just as Executioner was Enchantress's simp, Enchantress was also Thor's simp.

Or rather, a large part of why Enchantress had been willing to help Loki was because Loki had promised that, once Thor lost the throne, his fiancée Sif would surely abandon him. Then that stupid brother of his would be hers. Enchantress still believed such an utterly worthless promise without question, which showed just how low her intelligence dropped whenever Thor was involved.

So a lone Thor who was actively searching for Enchantress was instead an enormous piece of bait for the Witch.
