Asgard, the divine realm of the Norse pantheon, was also the most prosperous place in all the Nine Realms.

The buildings here towered into the clouds, often exceeding a hundred meters in height. Yet their lower halves consisted almost entirely of solid load-bearing pillars, with all the usable portions piled onto the upper halves. Most of them looked as though someone had deliberately built a vast number of marble columns just to raise a city in the sky from the ground.

Every white marble pillar, without exception, supported golden structures and towering domes. Peter's neck started aching after looking up for only a while. Somewhat bewildered, he asked Thor, "Can Asgardians build floating cities?"

"Of course we can, my friend. What are you thinking about? The All-Father is waiting for us."

"I'm thinking, if you can directly build a floating city, why does this place need so many pillars?"

Thor fell into deep thought upon hearing the question as well. He realized that he had no answer either, because he had never considered it. At that moment, Heimdall, who had been stationed at the entrance of Bifrost and watching the two of them stare blankly, answered, "For appearance."

"Yes, my friend, it's for appearance... huh?"

Thor turned to Heimdall with disbelief written across his face. He found the answer somewhat hard to accept. "My brother, did you say that wrong?"

"I did not, my brother. Our father truly built Asgard this way for 'appearance.' Compared to an ordinary city in the sky, an Asgard supported by countless pillars creates a greater visual impact, greater majesty, and greater intimidation. That is precisely why our father built Asgard this way."

Thor seemed thoughtful after hearing that answer. It did seem to make sense, but he soon decided to take Peter to Odin
