Avengers vs. Council of Realms

As a Dark Elf, Malekith shared a racial weakness with his people: iron.

Dark Elves feared iron the way symbiotes feared fire and high-frequency sound waves. It was a weakness etched into their DNA. Of course, different individuals feared it to different degrees. As one of the finest Dark Elves, Malekith naturally could not be one-shotted by iron like an ordinary Dark Elf.

But prolonged contact with iron still left him feeling burned and in pain, and in severe cases, it could affect his spellcasting. He also happened to be the enemy leader in this war of the realms, so he took a solid double beating from Captain and Tony.

One had a shield forged from Proto-Adamantium, the hardest alloy on Earth, and was smacking Malekith straight in the face with it. The other was simply covered head to toe in iron armor. It was like two people beating up someone with a seafood allergy using seafood. Whether they could win was another matter, but it was definitely disgusting.

Meanwhile, Fire Giant Surtur was left to Thor, currently the Avengers' strongest combatant. Whether Thor at this point could defeat Surtur was hard to say, but no one was better suited to deal with him.

You couldn't just say that because their sizes were similar, Surtur should be handed over to Pym, could you? Could Pym even beat him?

"I won't let you come within half a step of Asgard, Surtur!" Carrying the fury of being unable to avenge his brother, Thor smashed his hammer directly into Surtur's head. Then endless lightning bolts crashed down from the storm clouds overhead.
