Just as Logan was about to enter the building, he stopped. Kitty looked at him curiously, while Logan merely leaned helplessly against the wall and watched Spider-Man and Black Cat descend from above, landing in two textbook superhero poses.

"Good to see you, bug. Looks like things are going pretty well on the Avengers' side if they have time to send people out to deal with the Hand."

"Oh, uh, yeah, more or less... Actually, the whole Avengers team has been pretty free. Hardly anyone has been asking us to deal with those Hydra bases."

For some unknown reason—or rather, a very well-known reason—clearing out Hydra bases had become a coveted assignment. Once governments discovered Hydra bases within their borders, crowds of people rushed to take part in the cleanup operations. Tony Stark and Hank Pym had already teamed up to monitor those eager volunteers, planning to wait until the mantis stalked the cicada before swooping in and identifying the Hydra agents among them.

On the other hand, many of these matters involved domestic affairs, and the Avengers' authority to enforce the law had always been a major issue. Without that authority, they truly had no way to force their way in when the government requested it but there was insufficient evidence.

So the Avengers really were quite free.

Logan merely gave a disdainful smile and shook his head. Kitty, meanwhile, curiously looked at Felicia behind Peter. Logan looked over as well. "So, what special talents does your friend have?"

"Actually, none. She... volunteered to help."
