For Peter, there had been many times when he felt Anansi's decision to have that spider bite him had been unnecessary. He had always thought that bite had merely been meant to defend against Otto's Reversal Serum by increasing the complexity of his DNA, and that shadow vision was useless in most situations.

But shadow vision proved extremely useful against Gorgon. Gorgon's mutant ability petrified others through eye contact, so Matt had originally been the best candidate to deal with him. But Matt was still undercover, making Peter, with shadow vision and Spider-Sense, the best choice instead.

At that moment, Gorgon repeatedly swung his katana at Peter within the cramped space, constantly squeezing his room to maneuver. He was astonished by Spider-Man's agility. Though he had long known that Spider-Man possessed some natural ability to sense and evade danger, seeing it in action still shocked him.

That made him regretful again. He should have delayed the plan and waited until Spider-Man was out of Hell's Kitchen before acting!
