The Serpent Beast Named Set

Ignoring Peter's quip, "Gorgon" looked at Moon Knight. Although the spider totem was Ness's creation, and Ness was Gaia's daughter, such a faint divine aura was not enough to draw this "Beast's" attention.

Instead, he noticed Moon Knight—or, more precisely, Khonshu, Moon Knight's master. His serpentine eyes looked toward Moon Knight, who stared back without turning to stone.

Or rather, "Gorgon," possessed by the Beast, had lost his power to petrify others.

"I see... I finally found this place. Found this universe, after all these long years."

"Gorgon" muttered to himself. Peter's Spider-Sense stirred faintly, yet it kept telling Peter that the enemy before them was not powerful. In contrast, Moon Knight asked his boss in confusion, "I think he's looking at me. Or is he looking at you?"

Khonshu fell silent—or rather, was silent in shock.

Everyone climbed down from the web Peter had spun. The dust from the collapsed Tenshukaku had begun to settle. Nearly all the enemies were down. Typhoid Mary and Bullseye lay off to one side, and several old Japanese men appeared to be dead as well.

Only "Gorgon" remained. As the heroes formed a circle around him, he continued muttering to himself.

At last, someone broke the silence. Ghost Rider stepped forward, walked up to "Gorgon," seized him by the collar, and stared into his eyes. "I don't care who you are, but I see sin within you. Repent for your sins, and accept judgment!"

"Sin... Ah, I see. You fight with such a crude concept? Insignificant insect."

"Gorgon" smiled. At that instant, Peter's Spider-Sense seemed to twitch, only to quickly settle again. "Gorgon," held up by Ghost Rider, opened his mouth wide and inhaled sharply. The Hellfire on Ghost Rider's body was sucked wholesale into "Gorgon's" mouth. The massive skull lost its flames,
