So he could only make use of his corruption ability, corrupting a few more teammates to help him fight. The simpler method would have been to directly locate this universe and crush it himself, but for certain reasons, Seth could not do that.

As Matt was the first to hear Seth's footsteps, Peter and Moon Knight reacted the fastest. They immediately chose entirely different ways to deal with the enemy—Peter used Silk to pull Iron Fist away just before Seth could touch him, while Moon Knight rushed in and buried two darts in Seth's body.

"Careful. That wreck of a body has already been turned into an immortal body by that thing—Khonshu said so."

Khonshu had fled immediately after introducing Seth. From a certain perspective, he was in the greatest danger. Seth truly ate gods, and he had eaten more than one—Elder Gods far more powerful than Khonshu, unique across the multiverse.

So while Khonshu wanted Gorgon and Seth dead more than anyone else, he was too scared to show himself, afraid of being killed. Moon Knight himself, on the other hand, was not particularly afraid of Seth. So what if he got corrupted?

At worst, he could separate the corrupted part into a new personality and isolate it!
