One weekend in early October, after Peter got up in the morning and confirmed that there was no news from either the magical side or the technological side, he washed up and headed into the living room. Uncle Ben, who was resting, was watching television, where the hottest recent news was playing.
"The president of Roxxon Energy Corporation, Aggar Dario, said in an interview that cutting electricity prices across the United States in half would bring no practical benefit to the American people. Lower electricity bills would lead to significant increases in other related living costs and could even raise Americans' overall cost of living. He therefore called on Mr. Stark to stop this irrational price war."
Uncle Ben, unable to understand what the host was talking about, looked at Peter, who was practically half a party involved. "How could cutting electricity prices in half be a bad thing?"
"Because oil drilling and extraction projects take time to scale up, and in the long run, coal-generated electricity actually costs less than oil-generated electricity. Just because Mist Kingdom has abundant oil reserves doesn't mean it has abundant coal reserves. One thing leads to another..."
Halfway through, Peter saw that Uncle Ben still looked confused, so he explained it another way. "Simply put, they haven't made any money yet, and Stark has already started cutting prices."
At its core, Tony was doing this purely to disgust them. Oil was industrial gold, and its greatest use was obviously not generating electricity. All kinds of chemical products across every industry depended heavily on oil; power generation was only a minor part of it.
That was why it was called the "Roxxon-Stark War," not some "Mobil-Stark War" or "Shell-Stark War." We have so much oil and can set up so many production lines, so why
