April 13.
During the lull in the eel fry business.
Jiang Miao and Shu Ya took the time to get their marriage certificates at the Civil Affairs Bureau.
That evening.
The company headquarters was brightly lit.
A temporary wedding venue had been set up in the small seaside plaza at the back. The venue was filled with flowers, ribbons, balloons, and more than twenty dining tables draped in red tablecloths.

There were twenty-eight Sales Department staff working out of town, but they had not returned to headquarters.
His brother-in-law and sister's family, his father, mother, Shu Ya, and himself were not included among the employees. They counted as family members, making eight people in total.
There were forty-seven other relatives and friends.
The three groups added up to two hundred and thirty people.
The banquet had been prepared with ten seats per table. Two hundred and thirty people filled exactly twenty-three tables, leaving one table as a reserve.
Jiang Miao wore a white formal suit and stood at the company entrance with Shu Ya on his arm, welcoming guests.
