Tang San is a God King who simultaneously bears the Sea God and Asura divine positions. As a God Realm Enforcer, he restricts the Douluo Plane's path to godhood, arguing that the God Realm is nearing divine saturation and that this restraint is required by the Asura path's impartiality. He nevertheless seeks to elevate the Sea God position further and retain control over its succession. 331

After witnessing Huo Yuhao's tournament victory, Tang San selects him as a prospective successor and intends to bind him to the Sea God line through Wang Dong'er/Xiao Qi. Unable to interfere openly in the lower realm, he orders Niu Tian and Titan to assess Huo Yuhao while arranging for Ah Yin to descend and replace the Douluo Plane Core. Ah Yin is captured before Tang San realizes that the operation has failed. 251 272

To create a more direct agent in the lower realm, Tang San sends down a strand of Divine Consciousness and fuses it with a fifteen-year-old blacksmith also named Tang San.
